First of all, excellent signature jt.

Second of all, I don't know if I really like this EF idea, especially if it takes up the rest of the 20K plot after Mermaid. I'd rather keep it for another E-ticket, rather than a big meet and greet area, which EF sounds like to me.

Like Lee said, EF will be much more like a "Mermaid Lagoon" concept, rather than Pixie Hollow. Personally I don't mind if Fantasyland has no "E-tickets". There are plenty of areas in the 4 parks where E-tickets could and should be placed. Fantasyland is best for families with small children IMO.

Well Mermaid will be an E. E doesn't equal thrill. But, once the rest of the 20K plot is taken up, there really isn't any viable space for another large scale attraction that I would see them using anytime soon. They won't go over the train tacks IMO, and I don't see them ever using the Adventureland plot, even though it would be glorious if they did.

So the queue would be out in the sun and rain? No thanks.

They could at least make the facade outside like that and still have an indoor queue! I'm sure they could figure out something new for the inside...
I kind of don't think it's necessary though. The inside looks spectacular even though the outside looks a little dull...

Never say never.

I just think dollars could be better spent fixing Future World or greatly expanding Pixar Place or expanding AK to make it able to stay open later (Mysterious Island?) rather than adding Bald Mountain or some other thrill e ticket to FL. LM seems like plenty when combined with all the c and d tickets.

Good point on LM. I guess it will be an E ticket afterall. :)

Exactly, the facade should cover an indoor immersive queue. It all matters.

No, not at all. Just make the outside look like Mary Blair's.:D

I'm sure if they AA TLM up, it would be a solid Etic.

But the current outside facade fits the land. If they do go ahead with the complete reboot of FL, I could understand the justification of it. However, I do not see a need to complete change it when it works well right now.

I agree. I'm really hoping this Fantasyland redo goes through! This would be an AMAZING change to the Magic Kingdom. It just seems that everywhere else in the park, the theming is just so much better!

I would have agreed until I saw the DL facades. We NEED that at WDW. The facades can work as "attractions" all by themselves. They are amazing!

I have to say that this meshes perfectly with all the other news out there.

The enchented forest idea is awesome! I really think it has so much potential to be a fully realized "land". The WDW version of toontown has always been cheap looking. I'd love to see it be as amazing as the toontown in DL but, of course, have it's own fresh and new environment. It would also make it much easier to create a transition between Fantasyland and "Tomorrowland. It's an absolutely brilliant idea. BRILLIANT!

The second concept of moving the carousel is excellent too. It would probably work great in the Enchanted Forest area.

There is no concept of the carousel going anywhere. Dumbo would possibly move, but not the carousel. The castle courtyard idea already exists in theory, and the changes would simply solidify the theme that's already there. In fact, the courtyard idea was part of FL's plan back when WDW was being built; Dorothea Redmond worked on the concept.

So someone pretty much just put together all the rumors out there and made it into a list. Is that blog run by ReDis?

The only thing I don't see happening is Toontown going. It just doesn't seem plausible.

This list does seem like a list of rumors, but the rumors exist because plans have floated around at various times. Make no mistake, Toontown in its present form IS going away. The land is too valuable to ignore, and the plans have changed many times over the last ten years. It's a matter of WHEN and HOW—and nothing seems to be moving right now.

Could it be possible the enchanted forest concept will be going further back behind the the grotto and back towards the railroad? I had heard at one time that they were considering adding another train station at the back of Fantasyland due north of the castle. The rumor involved a forest with snow or something. I can't remember all the details. But putting a train station there would GREATLY expand the MK. It would mean they would have to change some backstage logistics and hiding the tunnel entrances but that seems rather easy to solve.

I wounldn't say those would be easy solves. You're pretty much talking about the main entrance for every cast member in the park, not something that could easily be moved to another part of the park, if it's the area I'm thinking of. They should just use up the lagoon. There's enough space for everything.

There is no land behind the Pinocchio Village Haus, just a nearly 3-story drop to the tunnel entrance.

Plans do exist, and WDI is working hard to push several fantastic projects through in the MK. Everybody, including execs, knows that the park suffers capacity issues; but certain individuals are unwilling to press the "Go" button to get this stuff done. Poor management? Oh, yes.

I know some people have accused a certain Mac Sandwich at the happy boards of proclaiming that nothing's coming to the MK, but that's not what he said. He said that the plans DO exist, but they haven't received the full greenlight. That corresponds to the information that many others, including our Lee and Martin, have received. We need to keep hoping that Lassetter and others ignore "As-long-as-it's-a-timeshare-I'm-happy-because-I-don't-know-what-the-he11-I'm-doing" Rasulo and push the plans forward.

Oh, I agree that once LM is done they should focus any new additions to the other parks and refurb the rest of MK's classic attractions(Jungle Cruise without budget cuts!:fork::lookaroun). I'm just thinking about the future.

DAK should get dibs, considering it still has the least to do. And while MI would be nice, I'm still praying for Beastly Kingdomme. I want something original that's going to blow people away, and remind people why WDI and WDW are the best. I know it's not gonna happen, but it's what I want.

Good point on LM. I guess it will be an E ticket afterall. :)

Well, with John hyping it up to be a "super" E-ticket, I'll be disappointed if it isn't.

I agree. With the exception of the courtyard directly behind the castle, the facades in FL don't match the quality of other "lands" of the park (TT doesn't count).
