I'm saying that nothing currently at another Disney park is in the plans.

With as secretive as you are, your posts continuously add up and seem to point in a certain direction. I think I'm starting to assure myself of what it is. But than again, I'm probably wrong. :brick:

I definitely would not read anything into that. No new dark ride or coaster IMHO. I hope I'm wrong.

Honestly, at this point, I'll accept anything that isn't a princess or fairy M&G. If it's a good stage show like you've pointed too, I'll be pleased. If it's a new ride, I'll be double pleased.

Given that Big Thunder Mountain is essentially a mine ride, I simply can't see anything like this happening whatsoever.

Well
1. Thunder is a train car not a mine car.
2. So there's 2 rides with similar ride cars in the same park. Never seen that before. Have you met Dumbo, Aladdin's Carpets, and Astros Orbiter? Similar vehicles different stories.

What's the big deal?

The spinner example you used is a similarity in ride mechanism, not theme. A mine ride would be effectively a duplication in theme, likely not ride mechanism. That's what I see the main stumbling block being. You already have a highly themed "mine ride", do you really want another one? I'm sure it would be fun and I'd ride it, but as part of a park strategy it's pretty weak sauce.

What I would most like to see is a new ride themed to pretty much anything in FL using the Indy/Dinosaur ride mechanism. Boo-freaking-ya!

But a dwarves mine train would be squarely aimed at those not tall enough to ride big thunder. Such as kids and dwarves.

Don't see it happening though.

Although if it did, SWSA could close and that would leave an empty building. Hmmmmm.

Well he did say it will be unique so it's a possibility.

Above all I want something thrilling but I doubt it will be thrilling. But I can settle for a dark ride :).

Especially considering this is Fantasyland we're talking about. Only Walt's original work allowed....:)

This isn't a real guideline is it? Because Lion King and Aladdin are in Philharmagic and there was the Lion King puppet show that was in the same location before then. Not to mention Little Mermaid or BatB. None of which are "Walt's original work"...?

All Walt Disney Studios Animation films however. A Burton film-based ride will not work....

Well, he did want to make a TLM animation when he was still leading the studios. :D

20K Leagues wasn't a WDS Animation film. And Third Man on the Mountain, the inspiration for the Matterhorn Bobsleds, wasn't either. Not to mention small world isn't based on an animated film (although, granted, Walt did supervise the ride's design).

You can keep going, but I'm willing to bet a Burton film-based ride will not go in there. Regardless of how much money it made.
