Staggs says changes to Fantasyland...

Well I've enjoyed reading this thread so much since day 1, I thought I'd enjoy getting in on it just a little.

I'm trying to figure out why Juan doesn't like the new FLE East. Perhaps it is Wonderland that's coming, tying into the teacups yet based on the new movie and not the animated film. Maybe that rubs Juan the wrong way? The problem with Alice at all though is that I would think it should be close to the teacups, which would mean Dumbo gets moved farther back where PH was going to be. BUT this doesn't seem to be the case being Juan seemed to imply Dumbo was moving to where it was originally announced it was moving to. Who knows.

As far as FLE West, I feel its sounding like Cinderella and Aurora are not getting their M&Gs, at least not there. Instead, a ride of some sort with replace them both in this location. For this ride, I'm guessing it will be a dark ride of some sort though and not based on ONE film. I say this because of the remarks about it being able to grow and change over time. Dedicated to just villains or entire films, who know? Oh Juan would. And Lee will soon as well. :)

If this is really just the "tip of the iceberg though", I wonder about other rumored additions, whether its to Frontierland, DHS or AK. OR.... was Juan really giving a hint with his wording... the only thing that stuck out to me was his use of of the words "FAR FAR less girlie". Give us the Star Wars news, Juan - either in DHS or a new park. Personally it sounds very un-Disney, but I'm surprised Lucas is in Disney at all, so who knows....

Thanks Juan! You have given us lots to think about. I think the best hint you have given us is that you are happy with the changes and think we will be too. That, above all else, excites me the most.

Staggs and Lee have said this. Those are my sources.

Just a more general comment, but I still find it funny that Staggs is one of your "sources" given that most of what you claim will happen is in direct contradiction to what Staggs says in the OrlSen article.

Wow... stop reading this thread for two days and it gets fascinating. Thank you Juan and Lee for keeping it interesting.

Best real "rumor" thread on the rumors board I can remember in a while.

After the Osha issues surrounding Alice in Wonderland over in Disneyland, I doubt we'd be getting a clone of that.

I would guess given how quickly this has seemingly come together (although it's apparently been months that Staggs has been upset with this), I would guess this is not a completely new idea.

Now juan, the important question is - will this new attraction have Fastpass?

Yeah, that's a pretty important question.

I'm not so sure that would be a decisive factor. My impression has always been that Disneyland faces far more stringent oversight from local authorities than WDW. It's possible a WDW Alice ride might not even require the handrails that have been such an issue at DL lately.

And even if it did, they could design the ride with that particular issue in mind from the beginning instead of rushing to find an aesthetically lacking quick fix.

(It should also be borne in mind that I adore the Alice ride and would love to see it cloned in Florida.) :)

Im definitely saying its Dumbo from reading back through this thread. That was my first deduction and a few days later, Im sticking with that.
Yes. Dumbo is part of the plan.
I think they are going to get rid of the Barnstormer all together
Stop right there. No. Barnstormer stays.

The Casey Jr Train Ride was discussed when the blueprints were first leaked and we all saw part of a train track that went to nowhere.
Finally, someone is on somewhat of a right track.
Who says Casey Jr. has to be a ride?
Why would the tracks go to nowhere?
The answer to the Casey question is in the art.

If I remember correctly in the artwork, there was a stationary Casey that looked like a Photo Op. I'm guessing we're discussing that?

My question now is... how is this an addition we will all be happy about?? Honestly, a Casey Jr. photo op/meet and greet/playground doesn't do anything for me.. UNLESS it is the showbuilding for a ride :)

Now, since Casey jr was already on the plans, I can't exactly call that an addition... So, what are the additions???
