Freedom of speech is something guaranteed to you by the US government. It means that the GOVERNMENT can't take it away from you. Any private organization has every right to take it away. Sorry.

Just a reminder...this IS a private website. We (including myself) are all here because Steve invited us. He set it up, and was paying 100% of the cost out of pocket. When it was a choice between either having sponsors or contributers, or closing down, he gave those of us around back then a choice. The majority of us chose to help him by subscribing. Some of us pay to advertise on the site. Some of us do not contribute at all financially, and that's also fine. But we all owe him gratitude for giving us this site in the first place!

But everyone should always remember that the website could be shut down at any time, and there isn't anything any of us (even the mods) could do about it. (Except to plead and argue our case)

So no, you do not have any freedom of speech here, and you can be asked to leave (as an earlier poster was) at any time. This is a benign dictatorship, with a few people whom Steve trusts to assist him. We are far from perfect, and certainly have our own biases, but we try to make this site as pleasant as possible for everyone, which means that every so often, someone will not be happy.


If you don't like it here, please leave. Honest, the rest of us will get over it.

Steve, Sorry to get so far off topic, but I think some people lose sight of the big picture!

I wouldn't count that as opinion, as this is his website, meaning it is whatever he wants to be, fact. And considering he's done an awesome job, he quite deserves his "opinion."
