You missed my original point.

Not really. First, we need to change your statement to Some paid for 3 years upfront. Then, we would need to break down much further, as someone like me does not view it as "I paid for all this content up front so it should be released all at once", and as I can assume I'm not alone on that, your some becomes much fewer. So we get to a small minority of current subscribers that have paid for 3 years upfront and view the content as already paid for, so it should be released ASAP to me. When you subscribed, there was no promise of "If you pay for 3 years, we will give you immediate access to shows X, Y, and Z." In fact, I thought when I signed up for the 3 years, I already knew Mando was going to be released weekly, though I may be wrong on that. And again, from a business perspective, the people with that feeling are most likely far outweighed by people who sign up for 2 months to watch the entire series as opposed to just 1 for the binge. I mean, if they have Falcon done and ready for release now, is it your argument that it needs to be released immediately because you believe you already paid for it?

Majority signed up for the 3 year deal.

Majority signed up for the 3 year deal.
Wrong, the only subs that got the 3 year deal were the initial subs that pre-purchased the service, which at launch was approximately 15M. Another 10M or so was offered a 1 year deal through partner marketing deals such as the Verizon in the first quarter, which got it to 25M.

After that it was all regular subs, now at almost 90M in total as of last month. So 75M aren't on the 3 year deal, sorry but that isn't a "majority".

I disagree with your numbers. Lets just leave it at that. we are arguing for something not that important. semantics.

Well I'm curious what number do you believe of the current almost 90M subs for D+ has the 3 year deal? The reason why I'm sure on the number is because the deal ended before the service launched, and was only available in the US.

We getting off topic. My point is I think there are more people who would want the entire season than a episode a week.

You made the claim of a "majority" having the 3 year deal, not once but multiple times. So I'm asking you to prove your claim. I've provided you specific numbers. Do you have any?

This isn't off topic, its on topic based on what you claim is how the "majority" of D+ subs want to consume its content.

I am conceding that point sir since it is taking us too far off topic.

I actually love episodes being released every week rather than all at once. I remember shows used to be like and it definitely builds excitement and I have something to look forward to. Binge watching is not healthy for my mind and my weight. I don't wanna be sitting and eating the majority of the day. An hour or two is fine then I move on with my daily activities.

It's like intercourse. You don't want to do all the positions in Kama Sutra in one night. Spread it out. Something to look forward to.

That is an inappropriate analogy for these forums sir

Now getting back to the perfectly acceptable WEEKLY episodes, I suspect we're going to find out more about Agnes in Ep5.

Do we think we'll find out she is a witch in EP5 or is that coming in a later episode?
Given the trailer image that looks like she's on a bike (Wicked Witch of the West vibes) that someone posted a few pages back and the image of her in the witch's hat in the upcoming Halloween ep - I think they're pretty clearly telegraphing "Hello - don't you think she's a witch?".

Plus whoever it was that pointed out (here or on some other site I read) that "Agnes" is just a shortening of the full name "Agatha Harkness" - I think they're pounding it into our fannish heads who we are certainly supposed to think is!

I do expect that's who it will turn out to be, but I'm just hoping as with many things that translate from their comic stories to the screen, that they do it in an unexpected and fun way! :)

I'd just like to mention that had they "dumped it all at once," we would not have seen anything yet. It has been mentioned several times that post production is still ongoing and it's a race to get the VFX done for the last episodes. If this was going to binge we'd still be waiting until March 5th for any scrap of content. I'm glad they didn't make us wait.

And back on topic, I rewatched the original trailers and was surprised I never noticed that a family dog is very soon to come!

You should be conceding because you were wrong. You can't disagree with the math. I was just about to correct you when someone else did.

The three-year deal were only for pre-orders. The vast majority of D+ subs are not on the 3-year deal.

If you want to diminish the popularity of D+, which met its five-year goal in one year, you should be discounting the subs that got D+ for free through the cell phone carrier (even tho the carrier paid Disney to be part of the bundle and passed the hidden cast to their customers).

Is this the Wanda thread or the Disney + thread? I think there really could be other places to discuss D+ subscriptions.

Meanwhile, back to the topic at hand it appears as though
we could essentially have all the pieces and information we need to proceed forward. The energy around the town dates back to the energy of the Big Bang which, ironically or not, was the same energy that created the infinity stones. It is also very likely that the same type of energy was harnessed in Wanda. This, this gave her the ability to create this. Why sitcoms? Because she grew up in Sokovia watching them so there's a nostalgia theme for her like everything else.
If they wanted to have done so, they could have (and may have) just left it at that. The problem is that
Wanda cannot conceive a child with an android naturally or otherwise. So the children have to have been manifested in some other way. Does Wanda, with all of her other powers, have the ability to actually create life?

So, essentially they could just go with the plot of
Wanda creating a world and life but, in doing so, has taken an entire town "hostage". She could also lose touch with her powers as she is reminded more and more of reality, leading to a terribly dangerous stand off. Finally, her children, whom she manifested through her powers, are the ones to "snap" (no pun intended) her out of it, letting her know that while she lost SO much in her life, there are still those who love her.
or some Star Warsy type stuff like that.

The thing is, there are 5 episodes left. All of this would work if episode 4 was actually episode 7 or 8. But there's quite a bit to go. So, to go simply with the plot I described MIGHT appear mundane. Maybe there are twists and things are not the way they were described in episode 4.

In thinking more about the question of 'who is in control here?' -

Progressively, we've seen things take a while to change when they get weird around Wanda (stop it/choking, the radio), then other things switch quicker (beekeeper/Vision starting to notice weirdness), and then Wanda seeming to take direct action to change things (knocking Monica back out of Westview). So all that seems to lend itself to Wanda in control creating this all to disappear into but more things pulling her out and her starting to react quicker to maintain the illusion.

But then there is the clip that I think was in some of the trailers of the 80's era ep where Agnes seems to be the one controlling the reset - 'Let's take it from the top'. Which implies she has some power here, too.

So at this point, I'm gonna guess - and since this is just speculation I'm not going to Spoiler-hide it - Wanda made a deal with Mephisto that she could go live in her own private illusion living happily ever after with Vision (in exchange for helping him with something or him receiving a piece of her power) and Agnes was sent to observe but got trapped inside with the dream-bubble imploding and is afraid if the illusion is destroyed then everyone inside of it may die, too, so it's in her self-interest to keep it going as she too fades in between dream-illusion life and remembering who she really is. Finally, 'Ralph', her 'husband' is Mephisto and he is the one really in control.

Pretty much along the lines of what many have been guessing all along, but I'm more confident in leaning further into this likelihood at this point.

But as I look at this notion, if that's the case - are they really just re-doing the pilot for Star Trek with Wanda as Pike, Agnes as Vina and Mephisto as The Keeper/Talosian? lol (see: The Cage / The Menagerie) Or is that just how I interpreted where the story will go based on that one? #startreknerd #marvelnerd #allthefandoms #mybrainisfulloftvandmovies

Is it possible that Agnes MADE Monica (who was Geraldine at the time) say the bit about Ultron? Is is possible that Agnes knows everything about Wanda, the Avengers, the snap/blip, Thanos, etc? That would be a twist if Agnes herself was indeed Mephisto.

However, my gut tells me that with all the talk about Mephisto, we are going to be extremely disappointed. Perhaps Agnes is Agatha Harkness like many believe but they've combined the roles of several comic characters into one and Agataha is the real baddie here.
