Just finished episode 5... holy.

This show gets better and better.

”she recast her brother?!” 😂
When I saw the hair from behind I thought it was the original MCU Pietro even though I knew it wasn’t. The hair was so convincing.

Also, I’m 99% sure Hayward is Mephisto.

It's a longer episode! I'll take that as a win. 😂

Also, oh my goodness. What an episode. They're playing fast and loose with everything now and I love it.

So many good details in this episode. I think this episode confirms the "previously on WandaVision" section is part of Wanda's reality (see: "She's gone. She doesn't belong here." vs. "Oh? She left. Had to run home.").

The whole Norm scene is great in its vagueness. If Wanda's not inside their heads, who is?

Wanda leaving Westview was fantastic. Hayward is a baddie for sure, especially with the way Wanda trained the agents on him. Also the hexagons? The only time we've seen that in the real world outside of the Hex is in Hayward's office with his diplomas.

I still can't figure out Agnes beyond the fact that she's probably Agatha. Also, who is Dottie?

Recasting her brother? Iconic.

Also his carpet. There’s 0% chance that is just a coincidence.

Great episode. The main takeaway/questions I have are:
1.
Is Agnes fully aware of what is going on? Does she actually have control over things?
2.
Are the twins real? I mean-birds and the bees don't work here. So are they Wanda's imagination or is she able to create life? Or something else?
3. Did Wanda
bring in the multiverse Pietro or did someone else bring him onto the "show" just as things were starting to unravel?

They made it VERY clear by what Darcy said that
those in this real world know NOTHING of the X-Men universe
and also that they are definitely not trying to
pass off Evan Peters as playing Wanda's MCU brother. Darcy asked "Wanda recast her brother?"
-very meta

Well to be honest, the appearance of
Evan Peters as the "other" Quicksilver is
hardly a Luke Skywalker moment and really does NOT qualify as
someone Paul Bettany always wanted to work with
. So, certainly it puts a twist on things, especially considering that Darcy knows
this isn't her real brother
but it certainly doesn't count as the massive cameo that has been teased.

So, not doing a bunch of spoiler tags in a spoiler thread, sorry in advance if people get mad.

But, wow. SO.... I think a few things came out of this for me. One is the idea that Wanda is completely warping things for real. In that she's not just distorting things in the mind, she is physically changing things. To me, that means the kids are here for good. I think it may also mean the new Quicksilver is here, which could be the first inclination of the X-Men to the MCU.

Speaking of that, my 8 year old daughter came up with the craziest thing to me. She read that bit about how Olsen mentioned a big surprise like Luke. Her exact thought was "I bet the are bringing in Magneto as her Dad at the end. Or maybe Wolverine." I just kind of sat there for a second in awe. What she said would make perfect sense if this is the step to adding the X-Men from the multiverse.

As Paul Bettany would say "This show is bonkers!" I think this is the best episode so far! The balance between SWORD content and Westview content is great and I honestly think they should've done that earlier. Also Even Peters as Pietro o_O I'm glad they had Darcy say Wanda recast him. Agnes knows something and is probably working with the main villain of the series to help Wanda get full control over powers like in the comics. This episode also had another amazing performance by Teyonah Parris. Elizabeth Olsen really knocked it out of the park as well. Emmys for both of them!

Next week is the 90s/Halloween episode and I am so excited!

EDIT: Forgot to add the highlight of the episode!

The question I have is:

How did Evan Peters character get there (quicksilver?). Was he brought in to try and help? Dr. Strange warped him from another dimension or something? Is that how they get the xmen into the MCU?

Well, according to all reports, when Disney
reboots X-men, they are going to recast. So I'm not sure how they'd do that. If they bring in Magneto, Ian McKellen would be epic but REALLY confuse people. Fassbender is too young to play Wanda and Pietro's father. So who knows.

I'm really hoping that Even Peters is not in any way the Fox X-Men Quicksilver. I think using him for Pietro is awesome especially with Darcy's comment about "recasting" but I would like for it to be a wink at the audience and meta, not an actual bringing in someone from another multiverse. The Fox X-men movies were mostly lame and a terrible representation of that group and its proper dynamics and I really hope that they don't pollute the MCU which has been so well done. I'd like to think that Feige is smart enough to let the Fox X-men die and stay forever gone, because the X-Men would really benefit from a proper reboot free of the entanglements of previous films. Would really love to see a proper Cyclops, Storm, etc and not have it be just the "Wolverine and some other random people" show

It would actually be cool if the X-Men movies existed as movies in the MCU and this was just Wanda using a character of a speedster as a template for her brother. That I could get behind, as long as those movies as still "fake" in the MCU.

To be honest, I think the whole idea of multiverses and merging different film properties is quite stupid and the news about Spider-Man has me nervous.

I just don’t see the MCU taking a well known actor from what is technically a Marvel property... now owned by Disney again after purchasing Fox, and reusing that actor as a new character.

It has to be them bringing the X-Men in some form to the MCU.

That or they play it off like in this universe he isn’t an X-Men... but I just feel like they’d hire a new actor if that was the case.

The thing is that
his actions and sarcasm wasn't on par with ATJ's Quicksilver
. It was more in line with
Evan Peters' own QS
but even more sarcastic and cocky.

I'm guessing that Jimmy Woo's witness is from the multiverse or has purposely wiped out others' memories of him. THAT or the witness is from a LONG time ago and nobody now knows of him.
Remember, we still have the scenes that include the
set where Kathryn Hahn is dressed in 1600's witch clothing and there are other witches.

My guess is Wanda was able to bring him in from another reality. Im not sure she recognized him at first. My guess is this link with an alternate reality is what brings the Xmen in.
