So from 1030-230am the whole entire upstairs is for 21+? Isn't that where all the live music is? I'm 18 and I'm disappointed that Disney doesn't allow me to go to places like jellyrolls and now this. I'm legally allowed to go clubbing and go to strip clubs but I can't go to an upstairs bar?
If you aren't old enough to drink then you shouldn't be in a bar.

Sorry, 18 isn't 21.. that's just what it is. You're still excluded from alcohol sponsored events.. can't sit at the bar.. and that's the law, not Disney.

I'm not 21 yet (20...so close!) and I sit at the bar all the time at places. As long as it isn't ridiculously busy, most bartenders will let it slide.

I sit at the bars all the time with my dad at Disney. They really don't care as long as I'm buying a soda or something

At the bar or in the establishment? (BTW - these laws are state by state anyways...) - but the point is.. 18 isn't 21 in alcohol laws. That's just what it is.. no need to put a tear in your non-beer.

"Legally" you can go into a night club/bar at 18 in the state of Florida. However, is is their sandbox and their rules. Most nightclubs/bars do not want to have to deal with wristbands, IDing patrons at the bar, or loosing their liquor licence because some 18 year old slips through the cracks especially when you are doing nothing but ordering soda. Clubs want to serve high profit alcohol as quickly as possible. Letting in 18-20 year old patrons gums up that process especially at high volume places.

In a nut shell, it is not financially worth it for them to let you in.

I sit at the tune in lounge all the time at dhs and I've sat at most of the ones at dtd. All of the bartenders don't care and talk to me and stuff. I'm not interested in trying trick ppl in serving me alchol because I'm not interested

See @Master Yoda's post - and in many states its different between 'being in the bar' and 'sitting AT THE BAR' - two different concepts. No one is claiming you abuse it.. it's just the way it is to avoid other problems and complexities.

Technically that's illegal. Not just a violation of Disney policy, but violation of Florida law that can get a bartender banned from the industry. I've noticed DIsney tends to be more lenient on this, but Universal is very strict.

I googled this subject and some people said if your 18 your allowed to and then some people said its completely illegal. I only sit at the bars at Disney so I think I'll keep doing it until someone says something to me

This is true. CityWalk doesn't allow 18-21 either. Some downtown clubs allow 18-21 but not all. You can drink in the Bahamas, Quebec and most of Europe! But not here. Yes, the live music will be upstairs.

It looks really good, but since it is a bowlin alley, I will probably only set foot in it once just to check it out.
I mean who wants to go bowling on vacation?
I think it will do well on summer afternoons, when it rains. It will be a nice alternative on cold days. I think people who don't hop may decide to go there after a day at AK. Conventionears might decide it sounds good.

All those people who don't want to use a day on their tickets for arrival or departure day...bowling might sound pretty good.

A lot of people don't rent a car and are forced to stay n the WDW property. I think it will do well.

I don't know and could be wrong!

We'll see. :)
