@BanksLee just reported the logs are new, but no lap bars. Here's a pic:
Well, there are some saying they are new and some saying they are old. @ tweeted this about 45 minutes ago now "http://twitter.com/I went on twice and I didn't get a new boat mine was def old.

Just rode splash, new lighting, everything looked fantastic and boats are the same http://myloc.me/4iGIO"
I'm gonna go with the boats are the same since i've heard that more than they are new, but maybe there are some new, some old.
That log definitely does NOT look new.@BanksLee just reported the logs are new, but no lap bars. Here's a pic:
as stated above, they aren't. They have just been repainted and given extra padding. That log definitely does NOT look new.
Which means that the new boat in CS will stay there. (And it was so pretty, too!)as stated above, they aren't. They have just been repainted and given extra padding.
Amazing shots!!!! The lighting looks 300 times better too. Are we certain the lap bar rumor has been put to rest?
Shakespeare. FTW, good Sir.Well, that was a lot of "sound and fury, signifying nothing" over the lap bars, now wasn't it? Oh well.....

Like I said, Splash after a refurb. Nothing is better.
Every big ticket attraction needs this kind of yearly love.
Look at the refurbishment schedule over in Tokyo. I don't think they ever have a time when all major attractions are open. If you pay attention to the parks on a regular basis, and continue to make big ticket additions, you can afford to have necessary downtime for your major attractions. Tokyo Disneyland is a prime example of this.
