Splash Mountain still on schedule?

Am I missing something, cause I don't see how that will prevent "Flash" mountain?

This a way to prevent people from getting out of the logs/standing up on the attraction, which happens fairly regularly on Splash.

I'm not sure where the "Flash" prevention theory came from.

so if the lapbars are like that in the picture, can you only hold 2 people in a row? That will defiantly make the line slower.

Yeah I remember riding and seeing 3 people per row. Two adults, then the little kid between them. It looks like now it'll be limited to 2 per row.

It is such a shame that we have to add restraints to rides, which are perfectly safe without them, to literally HARNESS people into a ride so that they can't get out. Who does that? Who thinks "oh my gosh I'm so scared of the drop, I can't do it. I'm going to get off right at the top then walk back down. I'll be perfectly safe."

When Ripsaw Falls over at IOA got lapbars, they still had jumpers. People wiggled their way out of the lapbars (and if you've been on Ripsaw, you know how small those seats are now). Splash will probably see the same thing. Oh well, that's what we get when you visit theme parks. Catering to the stupid.

I've never seen 3 ride anyway.

We had 10 in a log several time before.

I've actually seen 4 people put into a row in the past.

Ripsaw is a pain. I have a hard time getting out of those blasted logs. :dazzle:

This is the one that has been floating around.

I saw the cars on Thursday at Central shops and other than those gray seats not being there, and the car being painted, it looks exactly like that. The bars don't look as bad as the photo makes them out to be, but they do restrict it to two people per row. It does look rather roomy, though.

Those aren't gray seats, they're water containers to simulate people for testing.

Are there cars as in multiple ones with bars or just one or two? I have seen pictures of that one car for a while now, just curious if they are are ramping up the retrofit to cover the whole fleet, and where in that process they are.

However uncomfortable this is, I can't see it being more uncomfortable than Dudley Do-Right. I won't go on that anymore because the vehicles are so uncomfortable.

Ahh. That makes sense. They weren't at CS on Thursday, then.

I saw two cars completely finished except for one which needs the bumper carved. That bumper was just sitting next to the car. They both looked completely brand spanking new.

The handrests have been reshaped and remolded. They're a bit larger. As for the lapbars, they look much larger than in the picture. They're curved for maximum comfort and safety.

Had a great morning in the MK. Fantasmic tonight at 7 providing the weather holds out.
The weather was great, if a bit chilly all week for me, so you should be fine.

a cast member confirmed to me that there will be LAP BARS and it is the main part of this refurb
Yup. See above for picture confirmation as well. You should all be pleasantly surprised with the lap bars. I know I was.

However, the old LwtL boats have been completely taken apart.
