I genuinely love the concept of Runaway Railway I just feel like the technology to achieve what it was trying to do isn't feasible at the current period in time. Whenever I'd go on it, I had the misfortune of being put in the back of the train and missing most if not all of the show scene. They're way too fast paced and not in a good way. I also feel like its hampered by the framework of TGMM's showbuilding and isn't able to fully take advantage of the concept.

Actually All reports say they didn't even use all of the original footprint, so I don't know how they were hampered by the building size...
Honestly, at this point I'd be ok with them just closing it tommorow so the poor ride can rest.

Did my what is most likely final rides last weekend. The ride is in rough shape, but we all know now that nothing will be fixed before they take it down to start the retheme. Oddly the one thing that was working well that in past was always off was mr bluebird at the very end. Years past I always ride when he was static and unmoving, but that little guy was moving and singing like he was a freshly made AA. So long splash mountain and thanks for all the fish!

Well, maybe if the PATF theming is a busy they can reuse the salt mines motif for a Pinocchio ride

The next suprise is they are building a tunnel so after you leave Pinocchio you can head right to Tianas Bayou Adventure to work in the salt mines.

Just change it up. Now as you go through the ride you see more of your friends laid off as the economy gets worse. The drop is your life spiraling out if control as you get let go. I find it super baffling if the final drop doesn’t have a projection tunnel with Friends on the Other Side and voodoo masks.
I get it’s a sequel and Facilier is dead but it would be a missed opportunity to not include him or the song.
Same with Ray and “Going Down the Bayou”.

Not having "Going Down the Bayou" is such a missed opportunity that's the one song from the movie that's almost as catchy as the three currently in the ride.

Wow....rode this 3 times this past week figuring it would be my last few rides on Splash....it is in sad sad sad shape!!! I am really hoping they get on this "re-imagining" as soon as possible, it needs to be put out of its misery. (and just for the record, i am usually VERY tolerant of the shape of attractions...this just really depressed me).

Unfortunately Disney isn't concerned with bad show. Tron should be done so they could take down splash and not lose capacity. On Disneys list of 789 things to get done, guest experience is about 782.

No matter when they start the change over to the Tiana ride, Magic Kingdom is going to be missing a water ride during the summer. Eventually Disney will just have to rip the band-aid off. The latest could be next October if they are worried about capacity and the summer heat for 2023 and that would give them about one year from closing to change Splash to Tiana.
