OK I’m sorry I’m convinced now that this ride is going to be a complete train wreck and a complete mistake but… Let’s hope I’m wrong… But from the other things that I’ve been hearing just a few minutes ago… A lot of people are going to be disappointed… They should’ve just built a separate attraction… To me this is a really stupid move… But like I said I could be wrong… But from the things that I’ve heard… I believe I’m correct in saying a lot of people will be extremely disappointed

OK this is the last I’m gonna say… I just got off the phone with a very very reputable source… If you enjoy splash Mountain you are not going to like this ride… there are going to be a number of screens in it especially in the beginning… The animatronics from what I hear are going to be more or less the ones we got with the seven dwarfs and frozen and not the sophisticated animatronics from beauty and the beast across seas… apparently this has been in development for a long time at least 4 to 5 years believe it or not… But it was only talk until it was announced and everyone panicked and tried to figure out what to do and how to make this make sense… bottom line is you might absolutely love this new attraction but if you were a fan of splash Mountain like I said previously you’ll be totally disappointed… I wish I could say more but I can’t… On a sidenote the river boat will be remaining in the finale and we will get a couple new animatronics there… As soon as they announce more I’ll tell you everything I know …. Or at least have heard… But like I said from very respected sources

My impression based on that D23 presentation is that they still don't really know what they're doing with this attraction. They were desperate for content in that presentation, but had almost nothing to say about they content of the ride beyond the general idea of her starting a food co-op and looking for a missing ingredient to prepare a meal for a party. And, well, how thrilling does that sound?

No real new art of the interior, nothing about the music, no figures or sets to show, etc. Sounds like they're still struggling.

I would say call out and dismiss fans of the original, but they have in fact done that. They could call us slimeballs and people will still go.

I hope to one day celebrate Mardi Gras in a salt mine. Definitely on my bucket list. I haven’t lived until I’ve had a classic, salt-covered beignet. Yum. There better be so much salt on my chin by the end that I look like Santa Claus.

Sorry Hop - this is TBA. It doesn't celebrate Mardi Gras - it celebrates Carnival. Because nothing says "authentically New Orleans" like celebrating Carnival.

Still no closing date, the clock ticks and I have no idea what they are waiting for. With tron not opening to spring 2023, I guess that means it could close after the 50th is over.

I will say that if their innovative technology they could show us was Spirit Halloween lights and mist, I am not sure how this will end up.

Because like I said… They announced it way too early… Then backpedaled and hope that everyone would forget about it… But they didn’t… So now they’re in the position that they are…

I feel like replacing SM with Coco or Encanto would have been a better IP choice for that area. Shoving PatF in a western themed area is just so cringe worthy for me. And then to not have any kind of storyline that makes any kind of sense on top of it. Yeesh. My expectations for this attraction keeps plummeting faster than that final SM drop.

I haven't been keeping up with this but any chance they will save the America Sings animatronics? They didn't have anything to do with Song of the South after all.
