Really? I was implying the opposite—that a focus group is unlikely to have been very excited by such a concept (unless there’s something really great about it that we haven’t been shown yet).

Focus groups can be like surveys, they stray so much and are proven with lying statistics and a presented public opinion that renders them self-serving. So the answer is probably yes, and no.

The model is of the DLR version, which exists next to New Orleans Square, and has the water tower. The WDW version allegedly still has the boat on top, and no water tower.

Oh I didn’t know I thought the model represented the attractions on both coasts are you sure about that because what I heard the boat was cut

Focus groups tend to bland everything out.
If you had a focus group design a car, all the passion would and excitement would be removed.

Those are synonymous. When one hears New Orleans, the first thing that comes to mind is always “it’s within 150 miles of a salt mine”
I hope to one day celebrate Mardi Gras in a salt mine. Definitely on my bucket list. I haven’t lived until I’ve had a classic, salt-covered beignet. Yum. There better be so much salt on my chin by the end that I look like Santa Claus.

Tiana’s food co-op was created as a way for the Disney CMs to get affordable food since they’re not paid a living wage.
Lol that’s funny but also it should be true… I actually applied for a job at Disney at technical support back in May… They have been on me ever since I had a zoom meeting I got hired I just had to start training then I found out I would only be making like $17 an hour… And I run my own travel agency so of course I would have to dissolve that which is something I didn’t want to do… But back to what you said cast members need to get paid more … I think it’s the imagineners That need to get paid less… A lot of these new new imagineners are so fascinated with projection mapping and just trying to give us cheap thrills or something i.e. guardians of the galaxy.. the point is Disney was all about storytelling every ride had a story to it and in my opinion one of the most cohesive stories that was told in an attraction was splash Mountain … it will be truly missed … let’s just all hope that Mr. Baxter doesn’t let this thing become a total train wreck… One last thing I will say though I believe rise of the resistance and Mickey’s runaway railway are phenomenal original built from the ground attractions… Well Mickey’s runaway railway wasn’t built from the ground but it was a complete tear down and didn’t use the original ride system i.e. frozen and soon to be splash Mountain

It is mildly amusing that Disney looked at a log flume dark ride and thought- employee owned food cooperative that bolsters neighboring communities was a good angle for a backstory.
and when you get off the ride that celebrates collective action in tackling food scarcity, you can go straight to your reservation at Tiana’s Palace where adults can eat for only $69/per person (tax and gratuity not included).

Lol. .. love it… it’s sad but would never surprise me if it became a reality… By the way did they ever announce what they were going to do with the briar patch store and everything like that I haven’t heard anything about that… You figured they could probably remove the bathrooms plus there’s that extra access path to splash mountain that no one really knows about…. Well they never have it open but if you were to look over the one side I believe the right side of the mountain if you’re standing where the logs come down on the bridge you can look over to the right below you and see a whole bunch of unused waiting space that has not being utilized for I can’t even tell you how long
