I think this is my favourite idea so far!

To be fair, that Tiana has a thriving business is not unreasonable as part of the backstory. What we know of this backstory, though, does seem very much like the kind of over-complicated backstory that Disney specialises in these days: Tiana's restaurant was going so well that she decided to expand her business to a food processing company but, don't worry, it's a good one that is employee owned. As part of this effort to expand her business and brand, she also bought a salt mine. So, that's why you're now riding through a salt mine on the way to Tiana's party.

It just seems a bit... forced.
Have you ever been to company parties before? Usually its about them showing off how great they are so this seems on brand with that

According to media people there they were told this model is of the DLR version and the WDW version will have the tree/boat shown in the concept art and no water tower

Guess DLRs is positioned closer to downtown New Orleans (to tie into NO Sq) while WDW's will be positioned as out deeper in the Bayou..

In the Western Fromtier........

Just learned this the other day. One of the few Native American representations in the "Golden Dreams" montage in The American Adventure features "Iron Eyes Cody," which is one of the most recognizable Native Americans as the "Crying Indian" in the "Keep America Beautiful" advertisements that were ubiquitous in the 70's and 80's. Except....he's not Native American - he has Italian ancestry. Big thing that blew up a few years ago.

Also, for a more recent snafu in this regard, google "Tenaya Stone Spa controversy"
Not sure how that has anything to do with Peter Pan not that anything should be removed there but that is some cool info and tidbit of knowledge

After years we finally have *something* tangible to comment on! I get there’s not a lot for the project’s defenders to get excited about, but the rest of us are having a blast.
But are you doing that? Or are you being obnoxious?

There are plenty of ways to discuss your dislike for these developments while still actually contributing value to the discussion. Posts like the one I quoted do not do that.

Just two examples of their efforts at trying to be inclusive is nothing more than surface level and falls apart with just a little bit of scrutiny
I guess you havent seen many of my posts… trust me i think all this inclusive spin is nothing but pure bs on disneys part and is laughable and how people have fell for it is more comical. Trust me

Originally I thought the water tower was bad but I think it is just in the wrong location. It should be off to the side over the queue area and not so prominent. It doesn't add anything to the view of the mountain and actually takes away by focusing your attention on it. It would be fine off to the side. I didn't originally really notice the crown as I didn't look at the close ups. I thought maybe it was barbed wire to keep the birds off. I am still hopefull that the interior will be great and beautiful. I don't need alinear story, just great scenes that build to a climax.

It showcases that the people who put it there don't really understand framing and scale the way it was intended.

Pretty awesome that they managed to build a water tower that is lower/below the highest water level in Louisiana, which defies all common sense and the laws of physics those facilities rely upon.

Yeah! Frontierland in the MK already has a giant water tower. And just like they did in frontier time, they put a giant windmill on top of its pitched roof!! Boy, that forced perspective is amazing!!! Tiana's going to ruin such authenticity!!!

And isn't it the scoop that MK's Tiana's *won't* have a water tower?

Water towers are built to provide water pressure to local buildings. Not every building and neighborhood in NOLA can have a pipe that ends in the Mississippi for their water pressure.
