I live within 5 minutes of Wawa, Sheetz, and Turkeyhill (local chain out of good old Lancaster County PA). For my money, Wawa beats out Sheetz any day of the week. However, for one of the best Italian sandwiches (or hoagie, depending on how you roll), you need to try a Primo. Outstanding!

Also, Wegmans totally kicks ...

When people start quoting what year a gas station opened and the family history of the business I have to seriously question if it's just shenanigans and they used Google to make it appear they were informed on the subject. If they are actually that well versed on the history of wawa, we'll then, kudos to you.
Never question someone from Philly's unusual love and admiration for their local food. We talked Tastykakes a little. Don't get me started on cheesesteaks or Rita's Water Ice.

The dairy is an afterthought these days although they still sell their milk at least locally. In my mind the gas stations are an afterthought too. People go for the food not to buy milk or gas. This may not be the case in Florida where their is no history and people just see Wawa as a gas station that sells food.

Thats the prevailing opinion of those who seem to pass judgement without every looking into it or trying it.

Their iced tea is like crack.

Plus their healthy prepared foods - lots of fruit - is something that is sold daily and something you dont even find at 7/11.

how do you feel about Philly Connection? They make a mean cheesesteak sandwich.
Never had one. I usually go to the local places. I did have a good cheesesteak in Marco Island FL once.
When I was there I was told to skip pats or geno's and proceed to Tony Luke's. It was quite tasty.
Tony Luke's is very good. I don't get into the city as much anymore, but I'm partial to Steve's Steaks. Pat's and Geno's is a fun scene after the bars close at 2am. I have seen some crazy, fun stuff waiting in that line.

Well, now I'm really interested. I am addicted to iced tea.

No, I grew up going to it.

Plus the book they just released detailing their views on successful guest service.

Sure, they could put the new show building alongside the waterway, and have a walkway/plaza that continues alongside the canal for the entry area. No reason why IDF has to go -- I'd certainly prefer that it stays (perhaps with an updated shot here and there, a little more of 2014 Paris than 1983 Paris).

There is plenty of room behind the pavilion and between Morocco and France. It is mostly used for storage of the food and wine booths and there are some offices back there but all of that could be moved. I would hope they wouldn't get rid of the film. But you know WDW, can't put something in without removing something.

You know that's not true, they also remove things without putting things in.

I couldn't believe how crappy gas stations were here in Florida when I moved here 8 years ago from Virginia. I grew with a 7-11 every few miles. Wawa and Sheetz showed up and everyone had to up there game. That is what is happening in Florida with Wawa showing up. Now the new Race Traks have a froyo and toppings bar in them.

If you order a Turkeyhill at Wawa, you'll get the Sheetz....or so I've heard.

More fodder for Frozen getting a ride (at least in Japan, 1st place for the 9th straight week) - http://boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=3841&p=.htm

It's funny, I remember a month or so ago Box Office Mojo said how it was likely the last time we'd hear from Frozen in their articles as Iron Man 3 was 100 million out of reach... now it's definitely on a trajectory to pass it.

It's interesting, I'd equate them to an Aldi for hippies. It's neat but seriously nothing touches wegmans.
I haven't been to Trader Joe's in like six or seven years, but I remember it being more of a "fun" grocery store instead of a place you do all of your shopping every week. We have one locally now that I've been meaning to get to for cookie butter and giant chocolate bars. Wegmans is the pinnacle of what a "regular" grocery store should be. Their private label stuff is great, too. Mac & cheese ravioli!

I'll try it on my next trip there, I have to admit there is a place in a historic town outside of Niagara falls that puts any other steak sandwich to shame. But I'll save that for another time.
Are you talking about The Silo by any chance? That was a fun place with a great sandwich.

I love Trader Joes and I do most of my shopping there, but I still go to the regular grocery store for a few snacks and pop...The one by my house has a big fruit and meat section!
