Don't buy it...

Not understanding choices? Sure...
Not understanding something they actually got to production? No way... too many people have to have their finger prints on stuff for one person to know everything and everyone else to know nothing.

And besides, the device is so simple.. all the complexity is really in the other end of the system, not the bands.

Maybe there is some slice of truth in there, but it sounds completely distorted and misapplied in this retelling.
This is why I think the day of reckoning is quickly approaching. If a product was designed by someone else who currently is not involved in the implementation, how can I, as a simple IT functionary, be accountable for the results. My thought is that, as a IT functionary, you will find a way to make it work.

Today the crowds at Universal were not light, but still pretty manageable. I mentioned to my wife, however, that this may be one of the last times we see the parks like this for quite a while.

Seeing how Diagon will likely have soft openings within the next three weeks (incredible to think...) and the Kong construction is visible from guest areas (the fence is up around the T-Rex photo op and a construction vehicle was visible through the cleared trees)....

I'm so curious to see what the crowds are like in the coming months. And fingers crossed that I'll be there for soft openings.

I'm (impatiently) biding my time for all of this to open so I can experience it at the same time (Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley). I can't even imagine the crowds, LOL.

I'd wait for King Kong (I STILL remember the original, and that says something) but that's probably not due for a while, right? When is the opening being rumored? 2015?

I know people that think the Impressions de France is a stronger film than Soarin'. The film itself is probably the most visually pleasing of the Pavilion films.

I should probably have noted that I personally like Impressions de France (but I also like The Spirit of Norway). My point was that attractions generally do need to be updated periodically, and that having an attraction movie that's 32 years old isn't normally something you would brag about.

In an ideal world, perhaps, we would have new World Showcase movies periodically, with the original films - like Impressions de France - still shown for 'limited engagements'.

Dave, you'rea well traveled guy and appreciate small things that make a place like Wegmans better than anything else out there. Have you been to a Sheetz? And if so, how would you compare it to Wawa?

Close except that wawa started as a family dairy in wawa. Similar but wawa is more real hoagies.

Sheetz tend to be bigger... very similar formulas.. but I think Wawa's tend to be a tad nicer. Sheetz don't really offer a great shopping experience IMO but they do have the range of offerings and the sandwich counter typically.

Go Duck yourself. Wawa started as a family dairy. There's nothing cheap about it
Wawa was the name I gave the 6 foot tall Rastifarian monkey I won at Six Flags.

The price is cheap, especially during hoagiefest:) a few years back they featured a different shorti each week for $2.99:jawdrop: It's a great value for the quality of sandwich you get.
Hoagiefest should be rolling around soon, right?

The only thing that isn't cheap there is their "new" bacon, nearly $2 extra for a few thin slices? Insanity.
