WDSP needs a unique, special E-Ticket to help drive attendence to the park. Just like RSR at DCA.

For that reason alone, I don't want to see it cloned anywhere.

That too. :) Especially when what DLP (and arguably WDW) needs more than anything is for Europeans to see a Disneyland Paris as a unique draw and a legitimate alternative to WDW. It sounds like despite the convenience of Disneyland Paris, WDW still significantly cannibalizes the resort's attendance of European guests, and a major unique ride for DLP would be a great way to help that.

I agree, but think that WDW will forever have two key advanges over DLP; Climate and the exchange rate. Had DLP been built in Spain I don't think as many Brits or other Europeans would visit central Florida.

An addition in France would be great, but I certainly would be disappointed to lose Impresions de France.

If you look at it on google maps there is plenty of space behind France for another show building. The question is would they have 2 attractions? It can't cost a whole lot to operate the movie so they might keep it.

I don't know how I feel about bringing Rat to France quite yet, bit mixed on it (would be nice to see a new E ticket but EPCOT needs original non-character rides). But I would be severely disappointed if they slashed Impressions de France to do it, gorgeous movie that would be a severe kick in the nuts to the French culture to do away with. It's a legit worry as well given the tradition Disney has become notorious for- replacing existing attractions instead of legit expansion. Though given the way DHS expansion has been postponed, this may well never happen anyways.

As people have stated, Future World is in far more need of improvement at this point. Not to say that World Showcase couldn't use some improvement, but it's not a black sheep of the park like Future World has been for the better part of the past 20 years now. A good first start would be to close Imagination for a long while as its attendance is almost entirely nonexistent even in busy season and pretty much no one will miss it. Even a return mostly to the original ride would be welcome there as it would have aged like fine wine compared to even other beloved Future World classics.

The Contemporary is 70's brutalist. It isn't timeless. It isn't attractive. There is a reason this architectural style is completely dead. We don't need more of it.

There were many many things they could have done with Bay Lake Tower that they didn't.

No love for the Contemporary eh? I even put fluffy clouds in the pic. :) You are right that Brutalist architecture is pretty unpopular right now, just like Victorian Architecture was, and Neo-Classicism was, and Mid-Century Modern was, and countless other styles that have come and gone. There's a famous saying about the Eiffel Tower is that is was the best place to view Paris from -- because you could view Paris without having to see the Eiffel Tower. People hated it. Perhaps I'm nostalgic because the Contemporary tower has a monorail that runs through it and because people dressed like the Brady Bunch singers used to perform in the rooftop restaurant. I wouldn't discount Brutalist architecture just yet though. I'm curious what more they could have done with BLT -- didn't they pretty much try to copy the style of the original tower?

With the recently earnings report on DLP, they desperately need a boost in attendance.

Which Hess station? FIRST, all were Exxon back in the day. The original was the car care center.

There have been rumors - mostly wishful thinking- of racetrac or Wawa replacing Hess when they leave the retail market.
Dave, you'rea well traveled guy and appreciate small things that make a place like Wegmans better than anything else out there. Have you been to a Sheetz? And if so, how would you compare it to Wawa?

I could see Wawa being very very popular with CM's coming off a late tour. As far as building a new Wawa the only disney builds slower.
