Has the river ride been cut from Avatar? Miceage reported that it's been cut to just a simulator, gift shop, and restaurant. That can't be true... Is it?

Makes sense, he's likely giddy as a schoolgirl at the prospect of all the money it'll make in little over a year and a half. I can practically see the dollar signs in his eyes.
Well, Peter Mayhoo (sp?) has been announced for the new movie to play Chewbaca again, so I can understand that smile...

I am chaperoning a marching band trip in 2016 to Orlando. I am wondering how these kids will be able to decide not only what rides to go on but who they will be hanging out with several months in advance.

Sometimes you dont have to. I went on a band trip in 1992. I recall making a dash for Space Mountain first thing in the morning then, but after that I do not really recall riding anything else. I pretty much was alone all day. A loser among band nerds I was. o_O

They are all going to either use standby or make their fastpass reservations the day of or while they are all together at some point. This system is full of flaws and while youre situation will probably never be me, I feel for you. I also know there will be a few people here who will say that you are the minority so you don't really matter. My wife and I only bought a one day park hopper this year on a very last minute trip. We didn't get out tickets until a night before we went to the parks. Our day was not planned because weather played a huge role in what parks we went to and what time. the only thing set in stone was we would end up leaving from MK in the evening. I really despise that they are inadvertently punishing for trying to make a stress free trip.

In today's TWDC, that kind of performance earns a promotion.

No groups of less than 3 so no loners in our band. We assign them to a group if we have to. If we find kids in pairs or by themselves in the park, they get to hang out with a chaperone until we find another group and pawn them off.

We've had a few problems and you run into that when you have a large group but overall it hasn't been too bad.

There was a time on our last trip where a kid (a senior) was crying because his younger brother and some girls kept ditching him. He's standing in front of the big hat crying at DHS and one of the directors says to me, Happiest Place on Earth. I had to walk away as I didn't want him to see me laughing my off.

Mice age reported a lot of that stuff including that star wars land is off the table at both coasts, but they have been known to exaggerate according to spirit. I guess we won't know til he comes back, perhaps @Lee knows something

Someone posted a video tease that Disney did for "Star Wars Day" (May 4th) which seems to imply, without any details, that more Star Wars is coming to the parks. And they also announced the one fellow to be in charge of Star Wars for WDI. Of course, that doesn't mean any building is imminent, but I'd be surprised if at the very least development is not plugging along.

With Al Lutz and Tony Baxter gone Miceage has no sources and is literally just making things up at this point based on speculation. And with the mysterious disappearance of Tom Fitzgerald's boy toy Leemac Spirit is the only proven insider that can be trusted at this point.

Do you mean the star wars day video? I made a thread asking if anyone could figure out what map/concept art made an appearance in the background of one shot. The sleuths of the forums quickly figured out it appears to be a 1971 Magic Kingdom map focused on the Tomorrowland section of the park.

I would love for that to be a tease of something, but I feel like it was just someones art behind the desk.
here is the thread:

Yes, I was referring to your post. Maybe it is not meant to be a tease for Star Wars Land (or maybe it is?) but I'm not buying Miceage at this point unless a reliable source confirms it.

How do you know they don't have any sources? I'm not saying they do or don't - because I have no way of knowing. What I'm asking is on what basis do you conclude it is just speculation?

At this point, without confirmation we can't seem to definitely say just how accurate their statements are.

The outcome of the Alice in Wonderland refurbishment should be a good litmus test of their accuracy at this point.
