How do you know they don't have any sources? I'm not saying they do or don't - because I have no way of knowing. What I'm asking is on what basis do you conclude it is just speculation?

At this point, without confirmation we can't seem to definitely say just how accurate their statements are.

When you have a website that has been accurate 90% of the time since 2003 to suddenly get almost every news break and rumor wrong coincidentally at the same time that Al Lutz steps down and Tony Baxter leaves Imagineering in addition to banning people who question the validity of recent stories you have to use your head and realize they don't have any sources.

With Al Lutz and Tony Baxter gone Miceage has no sources and is literally just making things up at this point based on speculation. And with the mysterious disappearance of Tom Fitzgerald's boy toy Leemac Spirit is the only proven insider that can be trusted at this point.

They have broken smaller things like Jingle Cruise, but have been way off on the bigger stuff. My guess (again a complete guess) is most if not all of their contacts at WDI and higher ups at TDA have dried up and most of the info they are getting are from CM’s and lower level TDA. We all know how reliable they can be.
Most of the items they get right are based on getting info from CM’s receiving word about a change in scheduling (training for Jingle Cruise as an example.)

Someone posted a video tease that Disney did for "Star Wars Day" (May 4th) which seems to imply, without any details, that more Star Wars is coming to the parks. And they also announced the one fellow to be in charge of Star Wars for WDI. Of course, that doesn't mean any building is imminent, but I'd be surprised if at the very least development is not plugging along.
hopefully he will drop a credible bomb.
not awful exaggerated speculation.

Do you mean the star wars day video? I made a thread asking if anyone could figure out what map/concept art made an appearance in the background of one shot. The sleuths of the forums quickly figured out it appears to be a 1971 Magic Kingdom map focused on the Tomorrowland section of the park.

I would love for that to be a tease of something, but I feel like it was just someones art behind the desk.
here is the thread:

http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/identifying-concept-art-map-in-r2-d2-may-4th-video.883759/

There is literally no hint about Star Wars park plans from that video. It was made by D23 for D23 which is a separate division that would not be told in advance of any new projects coming to the parks. There are a lot of posters related to Disney on the various walls in that building (makes sense considering its a disney building). There is also 2 Ghostbusters posters in the background at the end of the video...guess that means Disneyland is getting Ghostbusters land soon zomg!!

Mice age reported a lot of that stuff including that star wars land is off the table at both coasts, but they have been known to exaggerate according to spirit. I guess we won't know til he comes back, perhaps @Lee knows something
They didn't say the boat ride was cancelled, but they said all that remains of Avatar is a simulator, gift shop, and restaurant. Maybe they just exaggerated the cuts by not mentioning that ride. It would require that the whole thing be re-engineered, if the boat ride is left out, since the show buildings are designed for both rides. Yeah, I don't think they would cut it because of the expense of re-engineering everything and the delays it would cause. I think they might be talking about the roller coaster element that was cut a long time ago, which has nothing to do with the current cuts and delays. I think they brought this up simply to exaggerate the situation and make WDW look worse that DL like they always do...

Abrams has a lid of Star Wars Episode VII like no other. Some of the very few Star Wars fan sites that can be trusted have stated that before last week's script read only the very inner circle had actually seen the full screenplay. Some details have dribbled out since then.

That makes me believe there was no way they were going to risk leaks from the very leaky WDI by letting them get a jump on development based on the new material.

I mean Disney will only make about half their total investment back on the first movie alone... The theme parks are small potatoes when you consider that.

There should be a D23 Expo in 2015, right? About four months before the movie comes out... seems like a good time.

Here are the events scheduled for second half of 2015:

April: Star Wars Celebration @ Anaheim Convention Center across from Disneyland
July: Disneyland 60th. Anniversary celebration
August: D23 @ Anaheim Convention Center across from Disneyland
December: Star Wars Episode VII Premier

Seems pretty obvious whats going to get announced to generate hype around those events ;)

Your a bit mistaken. Lucasfilm has been collaborating with WDI on their plans for the Sequels as we well as spinoffs and such just like James Cameron has been with his upcoming Avatar trilogy. Cameron is even more secretive than Lucasfilm and his Lightningstorm entertainment works closely with Joe Rhodes team. The information is only being shared with small teams of imagineers who have all signed extremely strict NDA's to work on these projects. There won't be any leaks.

Which is exactly what I said? I said that they mentioned a lot of cuts, but if you read their statement "Only a few concepts previously announced are moving forward, but in a downsized format. Avatar Land for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it appears, has now been scaled back to one flying simulator ride, a handful of shops, and a restaurant." Which definitely suggests on their part that the boat ride has been cut considering how we all knew a boat ride was included in the statements about the land from press junkets and even James Cameron. So their article definitely is trying to state that the boat ride is no more. I am not saying they are right or knowledgeable just that based off of their statement they are implying the boat ride is gone however untrue that may be. Right now I think they are realizing that their readership is dwindling and they can't live off their unlisted podcasts and terrible haunted mansion comedy youtube skits. So they need a little drama to draw folks in.

Agreed. They most definitely are saying the boat ride is cut. I'm not buying it, but time will tell. If they are right I'll give them credit.

Abrams is very secretive on his films. So secretive on the last Star Trek that I really wasn't interested in seeing it. I'm glad I did as it was my favorite summer movie last year.

I am not buying it either, it's way too late in the game for them to cancel it especially since James Cameron himself stated it was coming. I heard half of the delay on this project on here was fights about the land with James Cameron who wouldn't accept less. I doubt he is going to let them go back on their word now.
