And what's annoying is with my cheapo HTC smart phone I can't even get their app. So they need to make it a little bit more widely available.

Oh you gotta upgrade. I LOVE the Galaxy 5S and so do my daughters..We are all android lovers. I gotta say though the Iphone logs onto wifi really quick, has only froze one and it was after playing that dang game from pop cap I downloaded. If I had not been so addicted to the Samsung Galaxy, I would have the Iphone 5c.

Yes well its a real pain when you meet like 4 friends at the park, all with APs, and its not like we can just walk to a fastpass machine. We have to jump through like six hoops to get all on the same "plan" to the point where its just not worth it.

Yah for a company who has is using the Ipad for the MM+ and FP+ stuff in the parks, you would think the app and the website would have some point and click features, more mac than windows like.

I am chaperoning a marching band trip in 2016 to Orlando. I am wondering how these kids will be able to decide not only what rides to go on but who they will be hanging out with several months in advance.

I had a droid at one point, several years ago but had a ton of problems with it...which wasn't uncommon back then. I switched to the iphone (5s now) and love it. That being said, would love the larger screen and will likely upgrade to the 6 when it comes out, supposedly with a 4.7inch screen.

They really don't have to. They can book their own FP now and switch as they go and ride with their friends...the challenge being that there will be a FP available for those that want to visit that attraction.

Spent my afternoon setting up my MDE account and linking magic bands, APs, etc., for a family members visit later this month.

I dont know who designed this stuff but its not user friendly at all... nevermind the concept itself. I hate jumping through hoops but this is pretty ridiculous.

While on one hand Disney tells everyone to plan to the Nth degree, they also expect people to be flexible enough to change all their plans at the drop of a hat due to operational issues. Thats a tad ridiculous.

Yeah, but don't you feel awesome because you got to "lock it in"? I bet you'll spend 20% more on merch and food now, right?

That is going to be interesting. There are a ton of school trips to WDW too. Probably all in the same boat.

If they are set up the same way as the trips I've chaperoned in the past (and as a high school percussion instructor, that is a lot), the kids wouldn't have their ticket info to create an account.

I'd imagine they would get their band upon arrival on site, leaving them to use the kiosks to make their reservations? Or, is there a way to create your account on site using just your phone and your band?

Recent reports are saying that the bulk tickets these programs have been using in the past have not been enabled for MDE yet tho. So this whole genre of visitors is yet to be flushed out.

I met up with a CM friend and a couple of her guests the other day at DHS. The 4 of us had to go up to a kiosk and the CM there booked our FPs as a group. I couldn't, however change any of our times on my app later in the day like I can when it's just me and my DF.

I thought CM and guests did not have access to the system, but I guess they just can't pre-book yet.

Story heard over the weekend (can't vouch for all but the first part) ...

So Friday, after the 7 Dwarves announcement, the FP+ website went down. Then, monorails went down (again). Then the ferries went down.

All when Staggs and Iger were on-property.

Somebody at MK had a very, very bad day.

We never stay on site, we try to make it cost effective for the kids. Getting 3 days at Disney and 2 days at Uni with hotel, two days at St. Pete's beach with hotel plus busing there and back for $750 each is our goal each time and we have met that.
