Not necessarily. While troubling, they could have given him a maingate but not designate him as an employee.
The pass itself is payment...as would be the trips, if he is really getting those. Not cash, but payment nonetheless. He is working for them, even if he isn't listed as an employee.

Does he deny working for Disney?

No one has had the opportunity to directly approach him to ask. I guess we'll have to wait for @WDW1974.

It may be that he doesn't deny it and has just found a way to make the parks pay his bills, which wouldn't bother me at all.

I'd happily shill for Disney if they paid me enough! (Or Uni or Sea World! Really anyone. Just pay me. :D)

E-tickets... the only one I'm giving you is Avatar, but that's the point - the last E-ticket was 2006, You can call Fantasyland expansion as substantial as an E-ticket, but there was still 5 1/2 years separating that from Everest.

Why not? At one point Country Bears and the Tiki room were E tickets! (Grin)
Wouldn't it be awesome if WDW would still try to open shows that would be e-tickets today. I know those were copied from DL but they were absolutely e-tickets at the time. I remember waiting in line through three shows at CBJ to get in and then wanting to get right back in line.

Ok, insiders. At the moment, what is the current line-up for Avatar? (Number of Attractions, shops, entertainment, dining)

Please clear up some confusion! :)

The current lineup is...

E-ticket ride
C-ticket ride (might be changed to a walk through)
Flex restaurant (counter service by day, table service at night)
Merchandise
Night time show (not necessarily Avatar themed)
Enhancements to the rest of the park for evening hours

We've never really seen much confirmation on the specifics of any of them, which may be because the situation is still fluid. The E-ticket is supposedly far more exciting than a Soarin' type ride. The C-ticket might or might not be the boat ride from the leaked plans; it might be cut down to a walk through (imitating Pangani and Maharajah) but with AAs of animals from Pandora. I've never seen much information about the night time show, though previous to this, people had talked about a World of Color style show coming to DAK, which would require a new body of water to be developed since the existing ones don't work.

There was also talk about a night time parade at some point, but that has seemingly been cut.

I've never been a fan of Avatarland, but if they are doing this ridiculous thing, they are.

I just hope this new ride is not a Forbidden Journey clone with a different film. We already have a Forbidden Journey. Something NEW and cool would be nice.

I don't think there's been much elaboration on the ride specifics. It was mentioned that there would be screens but that the ride vehicles would move through the attraction. Some have asked/guessed whether it would be a Pandora's Box setup (from Vekoma) which seems pretty cool to me. My personal guess is that whatever it is going to be that it will be more like Spiderman than Forbidden Journey, but I hope that it is mindblowing whatever it is.
