Hilariously this time reality is better than anything I could have made up ...

I normally don't listen to his show but got tipped off to that one by a friend and yes ... its, as the kids say, bugnuts?!

At some point, honest to God, you just run out of material. WDW is not fluid enough to provide new content on a constant basis. But if it's how you're making a living, you gotta come up with something I guess. SIGNS!

My first choice would be to eliminate the Disney Dining Plan completely but since we know that's not going to happen I think that Signature Dining, if it HAS to be part of the Disney Dining Plan at all, should be 1.5 credits instead of two. That would be more in line with the value of the credits compared to non-Signature places.

But again I would rather see a return to the pre-dining plan era. Or maybe just eliminate the Signature restaurants from the dining plans completely.

Or for yet another idea which still fits into Disney's "packages and plans" way of selling things, have a Signature Dining Plan. I know they kind of have this now with the Premium and Platinum Plans but those also include lots of other stuff like tours, golf, etc. I am talking about only dining, mugs and snacks like the other dining plans. Buying this plan would be the only way to dine at Signature restaurants using a dining plan. Just a thought.

Make the sigs less credits? NO. Make it 5 credits. Make Boma & Kona Cafe 5 credits too. (Don't raise the out of pocket prices that high, just clear out the DDP'ers).

DAK Lodge offers something that no other resort in the USA (and likely out of Africa) can offer ... And when people about its locale being far out, all I can think of is these must be folks who spend their whole WDW vacations at MK and DD because the Lodge is convenient to all other resort destinations.

While DAK lodge is far beyond my price point for an extended stay, it's great for a short weekend trip - a trip that you forget the parks and just stick around the 2 lodges. The day that the parks stop becoming enjoyable I could see myself still going - but just for a AKL lodge long weekend.

I wonder how long it will take for Be Our Guest to go signature? I'd bet anything it's bound to happen by 2016. Someone will see a spreadsheet and it'll be done.

If the food is as bad as it is and they intend to keep it that bad, let it stay at 1 credit. No reason to stop it from being the Perkins Crowd Magnet. (Which is why I don't complain too much about all the MG&G's littered all over the place... the people there aren't in front of me in line for stuff that I want to do).

My issues with BoG start with a bad server and, possibly, a bad policy and then go on to bland food. How do you get French Onion Soup wrong? You don't use a beef based broth, so you can call it veggie. Of course, that makes me want to head to Chefs de France or the Grand Floridian Cafe where they know how to compute stuff. And cupcakes??!? I have never seen one in France, but American rubes like them.

As to being an OCD planner, that wasn't me. That was my 'traveling companion' and she must be obeyed. I just went along with it ... Although I may have made two ressies of my own.

As to Walt's, you had to have had a bad experience because I have been many times and it has always been good to great.

The Chef's de France French Onion (according to a cookbook I have a home) uses a blend of beef & chicken broth. It's good if you make it at home (though the version I make - from Anthony Bourdains cookbook - except I substitute the roasted chicken stock he calls for for roasted duck stock - is far, far, superior). But who knows how the soup is at CDF now, since their mission statement now is to make hospital food.

No inside information but I look for that to happen after Cinderella's Royal Table has a 4-6 week refurb. Not having 2 signature dining establishments in MK is an oversight that Beast was designed to eliminate IMO; that's why I believe it was built instead of a ride. To much money being left on the table. Thin some tables out, raise food quality (slightly) and it's good to go.

I was thinking, since the Beast makes appearances already, I wonder how long before they make it a Character Meal ... therefore tripling the price and reversing the quality of the food in equal measure.

When they announced it, I was under the impression it would be a character meal featuring the Beast, Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, etc. It's pretty obvious they cut it, but I have wondered how far along those Living Character Initiative were in development before it was cancelled for BoG.

Most of the b&b characters are too awkward to do traditional character dining

Ok, insiders. At the moment, what is the current line-up for Avatar? (Number of Attractions, shops, entertainment, dining)

Please clear up some confusion! :)
