Great to see you posting here again! Sounds like you had a great vacation!

And am very happy to hear that someone shares my thoughts about the Tangled Toilets which I find pretty for themselves, but they do clash with the other two styles of Fantasyland which are just next to it...

It's an exciting time to be a Theme Park fan, but a scary time to be a Walt Disney World fan.

Seeing some of the freak outs from people who are REALLY into the pixie dust is interesting, it's almost like they know the king is dead.

Corrected. And I still have future hope for WDW. Mystic Manor showed me Disney still can provide quality products when the money isn't an issue.

And honestly not wholly impressed with Antartica...the ride system Disney created is still best done in PHH...

They are acutely aware that WDW fans won't be placated by showing SHanghai art and a mockup of Kitchen Calamity and maybe even a ride through 3D show of the Monsters door coaster for DCA.

They need substance and all they have is Pandora and Studios. That is it.

No offense but those both would be pretty significant additions to those parks (i.e the that is it statement)

I've only seen video, but I'm not impressed with the ride itself at all. The open control panels on the vehicles, the dependence on screens, the goofy narrative...

I am really impressed with the exhibit after the ride, though. Really well done.

Is a Monsters door coaster green lit for DCA? How did I miss that tidbit?

Whoa, wait... I thought the Monsters INC coaster was being created for DHS? Why did it get shifted to DCA???

Why do I have the Welcome back Kotter song plying in my head? And isn't it nice to hear some Disney talk again? Sorry about the union discussion disaster....I think I may have had a hand in that one. I got to give you some credit there Spirit....You may bit.... ummmm complain about the parks but you sure put your money where your mouth is and show how much you care. It really wanst the same without you here. Thank God your back..... those little ribbons with Mickey ears the fanbois were wearing in your honor were a bit annoying. The Spirit and WDW Magic go together like peas and carrots......in my best Tom Hanks voice.

4 pages and already this thread has more substance than all of WDWMagic in the time you have been away. I'm not just blowing smoke up your a$$. This place has been damn depressing for the last several months. One more Marvel thread and I was ready to jump off the Daily Bugle. We had two running in the News and Rumors section at the same time. Not to mention I don't know how many DHS speculation threads with no real information. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to get a few genuine nuggets of actual info instead of page after page of fanbois wetting themselves over the latest fantasies from Screamscape.

So welcome back. And thanks for some real news and rumors. It's been too long.

Yes, you should.:)

Good to hear. Can't wait for D23. I hope it's Star Wars, but not just a restaurant and an expanded Jedi Academy. Any idea what's going on with the Beauty and the Beast show? There was a thread that popped up with a rumor that the theater was going to be leveled and they were going to use that area plus the open space behind the theater to put in a dark ride or a new mini-land.

On a separate topic any news on price increases for park tickets. They should be out soon I would guess and you hinted at possible big increases in the previous thread. Any updates?

Earlier this spring Al Lutz had an update that said they were planning on turning the sleepy back corner of HollywoodLand at DCA into a Monstropolis mini-land. It would take out MuppetVision and Stage 17 and install a Monsters Inc. Door Coaster next to the existing Monsters Inc. dark ride, plus a shop and restaurant, and rebrand it as Monstropolis. The monorail would zip right through the Monstropolis skyline. This was supposedly being fast-tracked due to the overwhelming popularity of DCA now and the need for more capacity.

This was all per Al Lutz in recent Miceage updates, and no one else had mentioned it before that, so it's one of those things that has Lutz out on a ledge by himself. But now it sounds like Spirit is backing up that story, so yet again Al Lutz seems to be on to something legit.

Welcome back. I hope your trip was awesome. Are we gonna see a trip report anytime soon? ;)

Speaking of, I'm also back from mine and have a long report on the appropriate forum. If you have a spare 4 hours, please read, I'd like to know what you think (especially of the BoG disaster).

While you were gone this place ran wild. Glad you're back!

2.) Wasn't just Swan/Dolphin, but also DD Hilton. I need to check on that and see what, if anything, has been determined [/quote].

I can speak to this, it was not on Swan/Dolphins radar either until word came down the pike that EMH would be further cut as early as next year. At that point Tishman has since gotten involved and talks are currently happening for an integrated solution that will bring in the perks but keep the computer systems still separated ( hence why you can't use the Disney Gift Cards at the property) as for the DD Hilton, not sure what route they are going since Tishman sold off third interest a couple years back.

Anything new as it concerns the mouse? Seems like we get better info from tiki and tim and others. But any morsels of info are welcome. Just sifting through the negativity is a chore. GK is in place. Construction walls everywhere. The pendulum is swinging back to WDW. D23 is on the Horizons.

And yet the groundless fretting continues. That's entertainment!
