Tapstiles?
I love "Tapstiles"!!!!

We have to distinguish the ball thing that you "tap" from the stick thing with the finger...and preferably with terms that PhotoDave won't be able to raise his eyebrows over. So, ball, stick and finger are all kind of out, lol. If its PhotoDave-proof, it's safe from everyone! :). I've already heard so many dumb "That's what she said" type comments. (Not from Dave.)

Kind of counting on the UG to have official names for these things when the new book comes out.

For now, I stick with "ball thing" and "stick thing with finger thing."

It's an exciting time to be a Theme Park fan, but a scary time to be a Disney fan.

Seeing some of the freak outs from people who are REALLY into the pixie dust is interesting, it's almost like they know the king is dead.

It isn't that Disney is dead, it's that they largely are choosing not to compete (see Blue Ocean Strategy in my last thread).

I get where some of the arrogance comes from. I spent time on five different days at MK and every day the place had moderate crowds while none of the other parks (Disney and UNI and SW) were anything but light except for TPFKaTD-MGMS on May 4th. Disney could place a medical waste facility in the MK and people would show up. That's just the mentality, so there is no push whatsoever to bring the quality up to what it is at the other castle parks.

I know some folks are likely fooling themselves right now, trying to connvince themselves that they aren't bored to tears at the place. ... But at least Splash Mountain looks good again (I mean for the first time since the 1990s).

Welcome back. I have a 3 questions based on another thread on this message board. The questions I asking is referring to this: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/dhs-cars-land.846133/page-250#post-5504730

1.) Could you confirm that Carsland is very unlike to be built at TPFKaTD-MGMS?

2.) Did the plans of when a Stars Land comes to the states has changed since the last time you mentioned about it?

3.) Do you have an idea what type of ticket attractions Disney is planning in terms of the major project Tikiman mentioned?

Which has yet to get a positive review.

I judge things myself. I don't base opinions on bloggers thoughts (the ones who are capable of them). I haven't read one review yet. Maybe it isn't good, but I'll experience it this fall and then judge.

I can't stand the Tangled toilets and think they screw up theming in two lands, but most fanbois wet themselves over the possibility of using them so they don't. The more I ride Mermaid the less I like it. But you know how it is gushed over by many fans.

Disney is planning a major announcement for D23. I keep hearing three different possibilities so I'm not going to speculate which plan it will be until I get confirmation.

Great. Maybe it will be worth the ticket and line to get into the Parks and Resorts segment this year. There was a lot of disappointment last time around.

1.) No, I can not;
2.) Not sure what you are asking;
3.) I know of some possibilities for that area that include a larger Star Wars presence, but I think @tikiman is the one to ask since he seems sure of his information.

They are acutely aware that WDW fans won't be placated by showing SHanghai art and a mockup of Kitchen Calamity and maybe even a ride through 3D show of the Monsters door coaster for DCA.

They need substance and all they have is Pandora and Studios. That is it.

Thanks. This is a very exciting time in themed entertainment. ... Antarctica opened today at SW .... Simpson's details were given by UNI .... Paramount Park in Spain looks like it will really happen ... And Disney ... Disney ... Um ... Hey, that kiddie coaster is taking shape across from the crappy and overrated Be Our Guest dining trough at MK.

Totally agree about Be Our Guest. The food simply isn't very good, but of course they have already jacked the prices up. Lol

Is the TL redo for Disneyland a possibility for D23?

This is just a gut opinion as I haven't talked to anyone about this project recently, but I don't think it will come up at all. Despite the leaking of news to Todd and Norm (who pretty much write Al Lutz's column these days) on Miceage, I do not believe this massive project is a go yet.

And, with that, I must go. Been fun chatting with y'all again. Catch ya over the long weekend.
