Speaking of Thor, the Thor Dark World trailer that played during SHIELD (talk about synergy!) made the new Thor movie look awesome! I can't wait for it!
I would think that they would really need to tie the tv show in with the movies somehow. Not necessarily interact, but moreso acknowledge. For instance, when the big bad guy runs his ship aground, ( and I'm assuming that's on earth and not on Asgard) that Shield would need to somehow be aware of it.

Like I said, I don't agree. I thought it was predictable in that Whedon way. It was not bad, but by no means a standout. It was a giant cliche ... I'll give it another two or three episodes to either hook me or tell me I am not going to like it.

Once Upon a Time (aka the Gay Lost) is much better. Has heart. S.H.I.E.L.D. Didn't seem to last night.

As to being derivative, most things are. That's what makes a show like Lost or Breaking Bad or Mad Men stand out. Most shows are based on successful past formulas and execs like to play it safe.
It was funny you mentioned NCIS earlier because it kinda felt like S.H.I.E.L.D. is an attempt to copy NCIS. We'll see what future episodes bring, but it feels like ABC would like this to be their NCIS.

Modern Family was great as always. I'm still amazed at how well that show juggles so many characters for a half-hour show.

I think what you meant to say is that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is the best thing on network TV since Lost. By a long shot, and after only one episode.

I sure hope you are building lots of closets in that new mansion ...because you are one giant fanboi.

I can only say that it is not dead. I am guessing this is more of an attraction or two, but I do NOT wish to go out on any limbs on this one.

Little Amber Tamblyn just used the word schlong on Two and a Half Men ...wow, time flies. Seems like just yesterday she was a shy teen hanging out at the BW Jacuzzi during Super Soap Weekends.
That was a creepy post.

Loki may be coming to the show. That's a pretty good tie in.

While I love Disneyland (just got back from there, not that everything there was perfect but nicer than WDW), I am growing tired of this type of thing. WDW will end up with the bigger, more impressive Star Wars Land (by all accounts we have atm, subject to change of course) so why not for once let that make the bigger splash. Or is it yet again NexGen that is delaying (at best) the approval for the major upgrades we've heard rumored and they so desperately need?

I can only say that nothing I have seen, heard or been told suggests in any way, shape or form that Star Wars in FL will be different/more impressive than what its west coast sibling gets.

I have no idea about NCIS as I have never seen one episode of it.

I thought last night's Modern Family episodes were quite good, which I hope portends good things as last season was more up and down than I expect from Levitan and crew.

While I have no idea, I would fine it hard to believe, especially if what @marni1971 and @TheVisionarySoul suggested in the other thread is true -- that they are looking to actually expand the physical park size of DHS into some of the backstage and perhaps parking.

With DL's TL, I would think that there is far less space available than would be possible at DHS. I've heard of them using the Eo theater, the Peoplemover/Rocket Rods right of way and the Innoventions building. Maybe converting the Pizza Port.

With DHS, there is the IJ stunt show space, the Sounds Dangerous and AIE theaters/building plus surely Backlot Express. That's probably comparable to the DL space -- but then if there's also space that will be added in backstage areas behind the current IJ stunt show and ST/Backlot Express, then I would think there would be some things added to Florida that don't end up in Cali.

Also, just due to the nature of the setup, I would expect DHS to get some more comprehensive Star Wars theming in the area since it would presumably be an area just devoted to SW. DL's TL will have the SW theme interspersed with the general TL theming.

I wouldn't even agree with that ...but I'd rather talk refillable mugs or FP than Marvel.

(although I do love those Marvel rides over at IOA!)
Well, I can give some first hand response on both FPP and refillable mugs.

But, it'll have to wait a little bit until I get to a regular keyboard and I don't have so many nasty four letter words in my head regarding the worst WDW vacation I've experienced. Gonna take a lot of pixie dust to get me to ever come back.

More later...

S.H.I.E.L.D.S was alright. I enjoyed The Goldbergs more.

Sleepy Hollow had the best premiere, so far, of all the new shows.

I was very impressed with Sleepy Hollow. my wife is the one who wanted to watch it, I really had no interest to see it from the previews, but I'm glad I watched it! Also liked the Goldbergs and SHIELD! The Crazy Ones on CBS was funny too. Classic robin Williams and I like anything with "Buffy" in it!

I totally forgot about The Crazy Ones! Hopefully it's on Hulu.
