Of course a sandbox style open world game set inside a Disney theme park sounds like an interesting endeavor that should've been looked into following the virtual Magic Kingdom's demise.

They already have that, Disneyland Kinect. It is a virtual Disneyland that you can fully walk around, most of the park attractions all contain games you can play, and there are also challenges you have to do around the park...

That's a system exclusive for Xbox360 plus the kinect system.

That's a very narrow market.

What? Do you need Kevin Yee to vouch for me too? Why would I pretend to be Ricky's wife. That's so dumb.
I do not know who Kevin Yee is, exactly. I do not know who Ricky is at all. I've only heard the names here.

I do want you to know that not everyone thinks they are whores. I'm sorry you have seen people calling your husband names and know it must hurt.

For whatever it is worth.

I think what you meant to say is that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is the best thing on network TV since Lost. By a long shot, and after only one episode.

I don't know. I think you need to be a comic person. Being a kinda-big (I threw the kinda in just to appear less dorkish) Joss Whedon fan, I watched it...and got bored (and slightly confused)...and gave up before it was over. Not saying it isn't a good show!! It probably is, for comic (or superhero) people.

Believe me, I was looking forward to enjoying a new Joss Whedon show! I also like that actor who was on The New Adventures of Old Christine.

Where did you hear that there were only three episodes filmed? tv.com lists four episodes, so there is at least that many.

Most new shows never film a full seasons worth of episodes...why waste all that money if it doesn't do well in ratings and with audiences. Most first season shows do run like this, especially if they are expensive to make. There will be more episodes, don't worry, I don't see then canceling it so soon seeing how it did good ratings wise...

It was given a full season order months ago. They'll at least be filming an entire season

Is it possible that they are seeing how well the new Thor movie plays out to see if they want to integrate anything from it into the season storyline for SHIELD?

.. and with this sort of show I would think they need to be filming pretty far ahead to keep up. I have seen nothing to indicate that it won't continue weekly up until at least the holidays.

I mean, they're two different things, so I'm not comparing the content, just the execution. A show about SHIELD has to not take itself so seriously, and as a fan of Whedon's previous TV efforts, this falls in line with the rest. Terrific dialogue, snappy pacing, and a distinct comic book feel.

It's by far the best pilot of the year, and way better than anything we've seen the past few years as well.

And no offense, but if you found SHIELD to be cartoony, I can't believe you thought Blacklist was great. Blacklist was decent, but so derivative and cliched.

Like I said, I don't agree. I thought it was predictable in that Whedon way. It was not bad, but by no means a standout. It was a giant cliche ... I'll give it another two or three episodes to either hook me or tell me I am not going to like it.

Once Upon a Time (aka the Gay Lost) is much better. Has heart. S.H.I.E.L.D. Didn't seem to last night.

As to being derivative, most things are. That's what makes a show like Lost or Breaking Bad or Mad Men stand out. Most shows are based on successful past formulas and execs like to play it safe.

Speaking of Thor, the Thor Dark World trailer that played during SHIELD (talk about synergy!) made the new Thor movie look awesome! I can't wait for it!

I do not run WDW or Disney P&R. They're looking to have a major media splash with a Star Wars announcement, which would include WDW. I'd expect it sooner rather than later.

While I love Disneyland (just got back from there, not that everything there was perfect but nicer than WDW), I am growing tired of this type of thing. WDW will end up with the bigger, more impressive Star Wars Land (by all accounts we have atm, subject to change of course) so why not for once let that make the bigger splash. Or is it yet again NexGen that is delaying (at best) the approval for the major upgrades we've heard rumored and they so desperately need?

In another thread, Martin indicated that some element of Cars and perhaps other Pixar attractions could or will be coming to DHS. Is that accurate?

I can only say that it is not dead. I am guessing this is more of an attraction or two, but I do NOT wish to go out on any limbs on this one.

Little Amber Tamblyn just used the word schlong on Two and a Half Men ...wow, time flies. Seems like just yesterday she was a shy teen hanging out at the BW Jacuzzi during Super Soap Weekends.
