I don't get the hate on Poseidon.. I think its a cool attraction in both scale and technical nature. I think Disney fans are just spoiled by F!'s water screens.

Poseidon is a great blend of physical effects, lighting, stage effects, and some technical mastery (water tunnel, etc).

I'm with you. It could use some updates here and there, but it's still a fun attraction. Don't understand how people couldn't like it.

So many people who don't like Poseidon!!

I think it's a great attraction and figured most people would like it. Kind of surprised!

I like Poseidon's Fury. I haven't done it years (always turned off by the wait), but I remember as a kid it being one of my favorite things in the park. The water tunnel was always so magical to me. And as a 7 year old boy, I found the last battle to be always so cool.

And if Toon Lagoon were to be replaced, I would be sad about Popeye and Dudley. Popeye is easily the best water rapids ride in the world (in terms of theme and fun) and Dudley has to be 3rd best log flume in the world, behind all versions of Splash Mountain and the flume at Knotts.

Me too...I thought it was great. What do people expect anyway? I thought it was better than anything Disney has done for years. And...Don't know it's not a ride? The Team members only tell you 47,000 times besides having it posted everywhere. Those that were shocked when they found out got only what they deserved. If you're going to be unconscious, you shouldn't rely on others to save your butt. Pay attention, read!

Oh I knew it wasn't a ride. But the hordes of clueless tourists did not, and clearly were unhappy/confused as they tried to follow some convoluted storyline climaxing in dueling Jumbotrons. I got what they were trying for, but it didn't work for me. It came off cheesy and lame rather than grandiose and exciting. That's just my $200.

Darkanon. All of Greek mythology and they come up with a cheesy villain, with a cheesy name in a cheesy costume. The villains in Lost Continent remind me of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The original was much better. Posidon invites you and your guide--an "old" man known as the storyteller, fewer cheesy jokes than "Taylor"--to visit his world. Posidon turns out to be evil. The Storyteller reveals he was Zeus all along (cool effect, transforming into the figure on screen) and the big fight ensues. Apparently guest to dumb to figure out they weren't getting on a ride also couldn't follow this.

In addition to a more authentic-sounding storyline, at the end of the big battle you were seemingly transported back to the original room. It was an amazing effect, rivaling the water tunnel. So of course, at one point both those went away (at least water tunnel came back).

I give Poseidon an "ok." But the wait for it is overly long and the cheesiness of it kind of gets to me. I wish it had another attraction within that amazing looking temple. And obviously know Dragon Challenge got hijacked by HP but the area just really needs something more.
As much as I love Harry Potter, I still can't really forgive some of the things they did with the overhaul.

Honestly I don't think I've seen it since they changed it from Zeus/Poseidon to Darkanon or whatever. I think this is why I refuse to get back on it since I started going back to the UOR parks. I don't want my memory of the ride to be tainted.

So good. So so so good. RIP Poseidon's Fury.

? Credibility.. shot

LOL - all I remember from the finale were two giant screens stuck into a lovely set battling each other with pyro/etc. It was lame - script was lame, actors on the video were lame. Not my thing. o_O

I'm a big Uni fan - but that thing could be razed tomorrow and I wouldn't bat an eye. Wish I would have seen the original version though - it sounds better.
