-George Kalogridis made the announcement of the Festival of Fantasy parade for the MK in spring 2014 at around the world. Also announced the Star Wars LTM event with cameos from Darth Vader and other storm trooper
-Karl Holz (with Joe Lanzisero) made the announcement of the Disney Magic enhancements coming later this fall.
-Universal Orlando Resort growth chatter not far fetched according to tourism industry expert John Gerner, managing director at Leisure Business Advisors LLC in Richmond, Va (“The only rule is: Know what’s the highest and best use of both a brand and piece of land”).
-Couple pictures here on the new marquee and entry way for Columbia Harbour House (toward middle of page):

-IM3 up to $36.5 million in b.o. grossing (92% fresh rating (49/53 critics so far rated it positive)

I hope Tony Baxter shows up at DL on May 25th for the opening of Mickey and The Magical Map.

It's simple... marketing can afford to comp the rooms and expenses.

Honestly.. the orders of magnitude are so funny here. People are arguing about spending a few hundred dollars a head... while their AV budget for the presentation is probably in the tens of thousands.

Certainly everything adds up in scale... but advertising is not cheap... comp'ing a few rooms and meals is relatively.
