Of course, this is all surveys and tracking and statistics, but still... "I’ve learned that total awareness numbers are in the 90s while definite interest is at 67 which is higher than even The Avengers, which went on to make the highest North American opening of all time with $207M."

All part of my plan to get Spider-Man in Avengers 2.

Men are part of the Mom's Panel and I guess would fall under the Mommy Blogger label. You're having trouble because you have the chronology backwards. Mommy Blogging came first. The Moms Panel is Disney's attempt to enter the world of Mommy Blogging.

In regards to the term "mommy," it likely is being used in a cute, somewhat juvenile manner even by those you self identify with the term. But I think it also relates to the juevenilzation of American culture. The term "Mommy Blogger" has become demeaning in the theme park community more, in my opinion, because of the lack of genuine content that goes beyond what is offered by Disney.

Seriously...WHY Thats all I ask? So we as a community should have a hissy fit because one/few people are ultra sensitive to the term " mommy" I hate doing this.....I honestly do it knowing full well the implications. But I assume you have no children. Because most if not ALL the woman I know who do have children cherish being called mommy. Do we have to be PC even about a generic term given to female bloggers? Where does it end? I understand that it may be a pet peeve of yours...thats ok. I am not trying to tell you how you should feel but I dont see why the strong emotions toward what I percieve as something so minor. Durogatory? sorry I dont see it.

That would be cool if they got the rights back. I am excited for IM3... Iron Man is my favorite and RDJ is my favorite actor.

So what is a man called that blogs about Disney? Or a man that gives advice? We have plenty here justifying Mommy Blogger as acceptable, I'm curious what we should call the men.

If men write on that blog they seem to be referred to as mommy bloggers themselves. I have been trying to get the whole mommy blogger thing changed to "People who blow pixie dust up your orifices" but that is a no go for some reason.

If you could post a pic of a monorail footer you found somewhere you would have more street cred and that would help.

No charge for that bit of advice...

The movie rights for Spider-Man were traded basically in perpetuity in exchange for Disney to get the rights to the Spidey movie merch. But that might not be a bad thing. It means that Sony and Disney are on friendly terms regarding Spider-Man; Disney and Fox (Fantastic Four, X-Men) reportedly do not get along well. Whatever IM3 does, Avengers will get a lot of blame/credit. If Avengers turns IM3 into a mega-movie whereas the previous ones were just really really really big movies, Sony may offer Spidey up for Avengers 2. Amazing Spider-Man did not really improve (may have declined?) from its predecessors.

I too am one who would love to see Spider-Man in The Avengers 2 and this just made me think of something. Could Disney hit up Sony to pay for some of The Avengers 2, which is likely to cost a few pretty pennies? Disney takes less risk, Sony gets a shot at some of the money and Disney gets another character to merchandise with the film.

Without even worrying about production costs, I think there are benefits for both sides. Disney gets another huge character for Avengers 2 merchandise and something to get the fans even more excited. Sony gets advertising for its next film and hopefully a healthy box office bump like Iron Man 3 hopefully will get. The fact that they worked together to come up with a deal like they did for the movie rights gives me hope that they'll be open-minded. I can't imagine Joss Whedon would be against it, creatively speaking.

I just knew it.

I think we need to keep a close watch on him. We need to check his agenda-driven posts for any overusage of the Blue Men Group of smilies: :cool::eek:
I'll go check his three friends LinkedIn account for any bl

Congrats on being #4000! I was hoping to sneak in and claim the title, but alas I didn't make it.

Now, where in the hell is '74 with that Uni news? :-)

With Avengers 2 starting production in a matter of months, it seems Spidey would have a better shot at Avengers 3. I can't imagine a deal and new script being hammered out that quickly, unless it's already been done in secret and they're waiting to spring it on us.

If Disney can get Sony to let them use Spider-Man for the Avengers sequel, I will be one, very happy girl. I also hope to see Wolverine in the film as well. If they can get Spidey and Wolverine in the sequel, I will be first in line for tickets. That would seriously be AMAZING.

I thought The Amazing Spider-Man did a lot more things right then it's predecessors. The most obvious would be Andrew Garfield playing Spider-Man. I hope they get him involved in Avengers 3 but they would have to explain why he wasn't in the battle at the end of The Avengers

I'm picturing a cameo in the big battle at the end... shouldn't take long to script or derail the plot at all.

It would have been ideal to have him in the first Avengers, especially since we don't know if they'll be blowing up Spidey's hometown again in Avengers 2, but I don't think that necessarily needs to be explained away. If they want to, they can do it Lion King 1½ style-- he was there fighting Chitauri in NYC, we just didn't see him. Yes, I just referenced Lion King 1½.
