Isn't this Light Magic all over again? Didn't they have semi-scary "pixies" whose faces were changed soon after the parade started to something different but with faces exposed, but was still just as creepy?

Not that I'm aware of. I taped Light Magic twice during its run (see Martin's edit...that's mostly my second recording) - once right after it started and again about a month or two later. As far as I can tell, they were always face characters, and not that odd looking...just odd acting.

Eww, what in the world. Why would they change it. If anything, didnt they do that because they thought the original masks were to scary? I hope they change their minds and change those back because these are just, whoe.

Ugh...I'd say Disney messed this up pretty well.

I never found the original Spectromen creepy at all, they looked fun and playful to me. These new ones are just plain...disturbing!

Plus, with the originals you could actually see them from a good distance. The new ones won't be easy to see, since their faces don't light up.

Argh! As others have said before - these are so creepy! I definitely prefer the masked ones, and I never thought of them as being scary at all. They looked fun to me, and I think they really suited the parade. Thanks for the pictures though!

I was just thinking the same thing, but i think they're a lot more creepy than the original ones.

I rather liked the light up masks, they were different. Strange looking, but different. These kind of look like creepy clowns...and I hate clowns.

Why mess with Spectro

why do Disney do this, Spectromagic was fine, if anything they should change the little mermaid section, maybe add more, but this is the worse change they could have made, i love the Spectromen they were so cool, i knew this was coming and no matter what they would do, i would have been disappointed.

They should add to Spectro, never take away from Spectro, unless they wish to add a 100% new night time parade (i vote the original japanese version of Fantillusion).

They are horrible.....Why dont they just use some Disney characters in those positions. There are plenty to chose from. They have never made sense to me.

I just bought the new edition of Labyrinth on DVD, and these guys look much worse than David Bowie. They remind me more of the clown from the Simpson's episode that Homer makes for Bart's bed and then gives Bart nightmares. The one who says "if you should die, before you wake!" and then laughs evily.

Is they're hair "new" or did they use that with the masks?

Don't know what to think yet too. I think I'll wait to see them live to judge yet.
