Every guest down in Epcot, the tall and the small...were QUEUEING. Without any Cronkite at all!

And the Drinch, watching all this from his top-secret lair, was completely befuddled: 'How can they be there???

They queue for vid screens!
They queue for triangles!!
They queue for this mishmash that Imagineers mangled!!!'

...How can nobody have commended this yet?

Genius.

Wonder if the Who's all sing Tomorrow's Child in a ring around the geodesic sphere-tree?

That's spring break for you.... I will be interested to see how the crowds are next month when I go. Hopefully no so busy so I can just keep looping back on SSE.

Perhaps the top-secret lair is that booth with the creepy woman in 180top or thereabouts.

"'They wait without Cronkite! They wait without Perrin!

...Some wait without souvenirs, cell phones and therein!'

They waited three hours 'till their feet were sore... then the Drinch thought of something he hadn't before.

'Does true entertainment', perhaps, 'not come cheaply? Does painting the future have a price that runs steeply?'"

...And I'm spent. :lookaroun

Gasp, people riding an attraction that since conception has had the most riders out of any WDW attraction

Me thinks 80% of those people in line for SSE don't even know it was refurbished (or know what that means).

I remember when the line was like that one morning in 2004. Both sides of the overflow queue were being used, and I don't think there was anything special going on that day either (I think it was August 10).

Three thousand feet up! Up the side of Mount Mayday,
He rode to the tiptop just to say:
"Pooh-pooh to the Fools!"—he was Drinchishly humming.
"They're finding out now that no good Future is coming!
"They're just entering the queue! I know just what they'll do!
"Their mouths will hang open a minute or two
"Then all the Fools down in Epcot will all cry BOO-HOO!
"To think—they stand there in line, with such endurance!
"And all for a touch-screen cartoon that looks like E-Surance!"

But the people came. They came all the same.
"They came without comm tunnels. They came without space stations."
"They came without video conference earth stations."
And then something occured he hadn't thought of before...
"maybe, just maybe, the spaceship was much more."
As for what happened, well on WDWMagic they say, everyone gave it a rest, and enjoyed the ride for a day.

He rode into Epcot, he brought back the old attraction,
he brought back Jeremy Irons to everyone's satisfaction.
He brought back the ending, the music the lights.
He got rid of the computer screens, the AA hooker, Judi Dench and her ABCs lines.
He brought everything back, all that fit the equasion.
He even served dinner from the Tomorrowland noodle station.

This is great, we should write the whole poem in a new thread.

Hey,
I have an idea....
Maybe Spaceship Earth is really good and we are just not very good with change...hmmmmm?
Just a thought
Also, WHy the slant by some that implies that Spaceship Earth would only be crowded because of a holiday break??
I have been to Epcot at varying seasons and it is always pulling in people. It is an amazing, classic attraction.
Like a previous poster said, some people need suicide watch i guess.

Sure the line is that way because of crowds, but the same thing happens at Pirates and Haunted Mansion. On any given day, you can walk straight onto them, yet no one mentions that, but if they don't agree on a refurb, Imagineering has failed OMG!

Spaceship Earth has a high, constantly-flowing capacity.

I disagree with the statement about pirates of the caribbean...since the refurb, i have waited in line as long as an hour. And not at holiday periods, either. The refurb add of sparrow and barbossa has breathed new life into pirates....
And, you are correct about your assessment, i think. If the lines aren't ridiculous, ohh, imahineering has failed. you are right. Do people ever think about the fact that their ride systems are designed to move alot of people frequently?
And by the way,
Hello from downriver, Great to see another Lousiana Disney Freak here......

Gotta love the damage control by the SSE refurb haters.

"Oh, it's spring break...there's more people so that's why there is a line..it's not like they like the ride..."

When will it sink in that you might just be in the minority on this one?
