I would assume the entrance and mural aren't going to change, except for a new sign, and background music. If they don't have a sponsor, they aren't going to go crazy on spending. This may work to our favor in certain areas in terms of preserving various things.

I would think they're getting rid of the photo on the lift hill, but will keep the on-ride monitor to select a language from the new narration to come.

Hopefully the lift hill will be darker, less bright.

I assume...for now...outside of projecting mapping, most scenes will stay relatively the same, until we get to the garage scene.

Everything from the point needs a total makeover along with the descent. Here's hoping for an actual space station or moon landing scene, and projections and fiber optics of stories being shared all over the world in the 21st century on the way down.

Entrance could be changing. There's been talk of a "pre-show" for SSE. The queue could take you from underneath SSE and wrap around into the new building.

Mural? I swear to god if they use some lame donkey excuse of how it doesn't fit and they replace it with some "story" inspired mural...I'll flip every table. Yes, even Chapeks new "festival center booze upcharge viewing with some trees on top" table.

In the social and behavioral sciences, it is theorized that language makes us human. If this reimagined version of Spaceship Earth centers on language and, specifically, the power of oral narrative, then it may present an informed perspective of the common thread that unites us as humans.

Even this is being challenged recently -- there's some evidence (certainly nothing conclusive) that some of the more intelligent bird species have their own language. I don't remember the specific species at the moment (something in the corvid family, I believe), but researchers isolated over 200 specific sounds and determined they were combined in various different structures very similar to sentences.

Regardless, I agree with your general point about Spaceship Earth.

Is Disney really gonna spend all that money without a sponsor to completely change the track and loading area? Concept art shows same vehicles, same scenes (with some changes and projection mapping) and the exit would go into a redesigned Earth Station.

That was what I last heard. Unless a) they change the plan again or b) they have a sponsor lined up
Did you or someone else mention a sponsor after Siemens would be "not Intel" around when Siemens dropped theirs? I remember someone reputable talking about it but wouldn't give more info.

I was just assuming that they've given up on the sponsorship model. Not that they'd turn one down if they could get it, of course, but that it's no longer considered necessary to make updates etc.

It's not like they have sponsors for the rides in any of the other parks,

MF:SR is just a Dinosaur overlay???

Lets just go with Dinosaur is just UoE on fast forward...That sounds waaaaaaaay more interesting.

As for the actual issue, which is Hondo, he is very well known to Star Wars fans and has been a character in every animated series for the past 15-20 years.
