Are ride vehicles being replaced completely? I know I heard the track would be replaced somewhere. Also, does this actually mean the end of all the original sets at 180top? I can totally see the existing top, with major enhancements, being used to talk about social media storytelling through satellites.

At what point in the ride will scenes be gutted and "improved"? Steve Jobs garage scene? Moon landing?
I don't personally know if the person in the garage is intended to be a specific individual, but I always say "It's Woz!" (Steve Wozniak) when going by that scene. This is not intended as any kind of knock on Steve Jobs, but the guy doing the hardware work on the original Apple computer was Woz.

I will let these quotes speak for themselves.
To be honest, to scrap the ride system type would be a vastly difficult thing to do. One of the (many) reasons Time Racers didn’t happen. Not only are some of the climbs very steep, having anything that’s not a linked chain of vehicles throws up all kinds of issues about a suitable and failsafe way of preventing rollback.
I’m expecting each scene to be overhauled. I’m also expecting several scenes to be changed. And a new descent. Story wise I can’t comment at the moment.
I also expect big changes about how or where you get on and get off.

It isn't about communications now. It stopped being so in 2007. It's about building the future currently. Communication is part of it but it's only one aspect of the current v4.

Well aware, but just pointing out that the heart of the ride still focuses on different mediums of communications technology, despite the altered script and a couple of shifted scenes (i.e. the Greeks); a move toward storytelling will mean a much more fundamental change in presentation.

Really? I can see a lot of the current scenes easily working with this new scene, and some returned to the original (e.g. Greek Theater)... The DPB talked about it being about story telling and our story (of humanity). I don't see it as a fundamental change but rather a revert back to the original with a different emphasis.

Yep. All the mediums being used to communicate (cave drawings, papyrus, alphabet, painting, print, multimedia) can all be tweaked to reference storytelling. The Greek scene will probably revert to a theater scene or introduce the library, a place to permanently collect stories for future generations. The Middle East scene may have to be adjusted somehow but even its nods to preservation of knowledge and scientific progress are relatively easy to work into the narrative.
