i think the best move for the magic kingdom is to extend the park behind the wdwr were the swamp area is
it would be more for roller coasters beause that wold attract more of a varity of people

Go back to Six Flags please.

That was rather rude and tasteless. Just because you may not like roller coasters doesn't mean that people that do are trolls or don't appreciate Disney.

Hack, you've gotta be kidding. Enchatames comment is spot on. When has the Magic Kingdom been about Roller Coasters? That's not to say that they can't be added in the right way, but labeling his comment as "rude and tasteless," is 100% wrong.

It was the way it was phrased. The way Enchatames phrased it made it come out as rude. I never go to the MK for coasters (mostly for JC) so I understand that. But there's no point to insult someone like that because they thought the MK should expand and put in another coaster.

If you think about it The Magic Kingdom does have 3 coasters

1) Space Mountain
2) Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
3) Splash Mountain

Splash isn't a coaster, it's a flume ride. However, Barnstormer is a coaster so 3 coasters is correct.

Right, I'm not disputing that Disney doesn't have coasters (although some would argue that Big Thunder is a mine train ride and that Space is a wild mouse, but I'd put them under the umbrella of coasters regardless). However the origin of this debate was simply stating, "extend the park area and add some coasters because they bring in crowds". That's probably correct - in fact Universal Studios is doing just that with Rip, Ride, Rock it. They're putting in a huge steel coaster otherwise disrupting much of the theming in that park.

You know, I won't be surprised if Disney somehow re-uses that stage for special events like you mentioned...

I can easily see it become a dance stage for Mickey's Not-So Scary Halloween Party or for the Pirate & Princess Parties...

True...What post is that in which thread???I remember writing that somewhere...

When I saw that stage a few weeks ago I was stunned that they would have absolutely no shade for anyone watching it. Whoever planned that wasn't planning on watching the show :)

them expanding to more coasters would bring more crowds

But there's no shade for people watching the castle show, or watching the parades, or HSM, or JTA, and so on. It would be nice, but it just isn't always feasible.

 So I guess the real problem is the show itself then.

I watched a vid of the Stitch Show on youtube. If I was in entertainment at WDW and that was a show I worked on, I would be thinking about a career change because clearly I don't know what I am doing. That was by far the biggest waste of money I have ever seen. It was unacceptable by Disney standards.

Absolutely no shade in front of the stage used for the JEDI Training Academy (and other shows) at DHS. Seems to consistently draw a large crowd regardless of the heat. I'm sure the costumed CMs on stage would love some shade, especially Darth.

Point being, while shade would be nice, I don't believe shade was the problem with that particular show...

Edit - And that has already been stated. Need to learn to read the entire thread first...

Does anybody have any idea whether Stitch's Supersonic Celebration will ever come back?

If not, what are the plans for the space where Stitch's Supersonic Celebration was?

It is very possible that aspects of Stitch's Supersonic Celebration will return when the stage is repurposed. The technology used to run Stitch, while customizable, took alot of money to develop (though we thankfully shared in the costs for Hong Kong and Paris' Stitch Live/Encounter). If they decide to replace Stitch with a new interactive character or characters, it will take plenty of money to do so.

Whatever the case, the stage will be used for the extra ticket events this year, regardless of Stitch's status. Also, expect some sort of covering to be installed when the attraction opens anew.

Is it just me or does it annoy anyone else how they all have "mountain" in the ride name?

Yes, but it is a thrill ride. So technically it would count..well kind of!:lookaroun
