The answer to both is no.

I mean, theres a 200ft height restriction for starters. So your 'cable to space' is just going to look like a piece of metal sticking up into the air 190 some feet. And that 190 ft metal pole would be FANTASTIC in a hurricane.

To add, before it was the entrance for 220 it was the extended queue for M:S. So it was never a backstage area.

Just took me back to my youth, putting on the special glasses to look at the black light posters hanging in our rooms. Still not sure if it was cool or just plain bad.

I agree I feel like we have gotten absolutely nothing on this project except for the two D23 announcements... I sure would appreciate some sort of official construction update/sneak peek or an opening date or something

There was suppose to be a SpaceX geosynchronous satellite that would lower a cable into the atmosphere that would be anchored to Space 220. Unfortunately because of the economic impact of the pandemic, that effect was cut. The value imagineered replacement is a repainted "Hydolator" off to the side of the hostess podium.

They’ve been secretive about this whole thing start to (almost) finish. It’s either going to be blow us way or a huge let down.
