Trip Report Soon it will just be two of us - A very unique Max Trip Report

Hello to all of my WDWMagic friends

For those that did not notice I am back now from an extended absence from the boards even though @Tuvalu did her best to keep me engaged
The reason for the disappearing act was a very special (and time consuming) event
So we start this report with a wonderful trip down the aisle...

Stephanie and Jordan got married!!!

The venue was a (very) local golf course (5 min drive from our house)
Both the ceremony and reception were in the same room

Pictures at the house - Cassie was the maid of honour

The grooms people were (left to right) a combination of Jordan's brother Evan, his best man is his best friend from high school( also named Jordan!) , his two close friends from University (Maria and Roshni) and Cassie's BF Shane

This one was just before the walk down the aisle - I held it together - no blubbering at all!

When you spend a small fortune on a wedding you get a front row seat!!!

Those nursing "boxes" are popping up a lot around here lately too (Buffalo).

Here's the thing, though -- that box is infinitely better than potentially dealing with loud, crazy airports (I know my daughter vastly preferred quiet and soothing, as did I!), or worse -- restrooms (yuck).

Can't wait to see the rest of your TR -- I miss Disneyland!!

While I understand the upgrade from the loud airport I still think this “solution “ is cheap
Build a proper room with nice comfy chairs - don’t put newborns in a box!!

I’m curious: are mothers EXPECTED to use the nursing box, or is it there for women who are not comfortable breastfeeding their baby in public? While it never bothered me to breastfeed my child in public, I did know some mothers who weren’t as comfortable with the idea.
I do not think it is mandatory

Why does that airport shuttle look like it's made of foam and in a cartoon? It seems like it would be wobbly as it was driving around. Makes me kind of want to ride it now.
It was smooth - electric drive - quiet
Not a thrill ride at all!

OMG -- that picture is hilarious! :hilarious:
The deer selfie in Japan was challenging but not dangerous
A real moose would be scary if it was this close
I hope the shuttle experience was a good one. We always had the same driver and he was great.
It was great experience- thanks again

Day 1 continued
Before we get to the tickets let’s review the room

Not sure if I had mentioned it but we ended going big and staying at the Grand Californian hotel ( with itbeing the first weekend of Christmas almost all the rooms close to Disney were sold out)

We were on the 3rd floor and had a cool view down to the lobby

After taking a few pictures I realized we had an accessible room

We did not mind except a chair/ small love seat would have been nice

Grand Californian is on my bucket list. That walk right into DCA seems so luxurious. :)

the shorter walk and the use of the entrance is one of the selling features - the other is the hotel itself is really nice

Max, i kid you not: your doppelgänger was on the same bus as me last night when I came home from work!
I was not on the bus last night but I am still available for Christmas if the offer stands

Like @Sillysidewalker its on my bucket list to stay at the Grand Californian.
It is cool to stay sooo close to the action

Gorgeous picture of your family Max :)
Absolutely beautiful!
thank you - they take after their mom obviously !!

Maybe I missed this...are the girls twins???
Such a nice looking family!!!
Not twins - about 20 months apart- Stephanie is older - have heard this before while they were growing up

Absolutely stunning pic! Thank you for sharing with us! :inlove:
I do not want to overdo it on the wedding pics but when I saw this one of the four of us I wanted to share
I will look for one with the six of us that went to WDW last year ( add in the boys!) next

We headed to Disneyland since it was open till midnight

And... no issues with the tickets!!
Used our passports and picked up the Canadian resident tickets with no concerns

and soon we were here

we got a group behind us of pre teens girls with one mom that talked the whole time

Well they would of....

But as we entered the first scenes of the ship and the town I turned around and loudly said

ARE YOU GOING TALK THE WHOLE TIME? - I would like to enjoy the ride!

They were quiet the rest of the way

Unfortunately we got very wet bottoms and walked around wet the rest of the evening

After HM we did the long meandering walk passed the Hungry Bear and into Star Wars Galaxy Edge

Smugglers Run ( here on known as the falcon) only had only a 15 min wait so we went for it
