I went to dinner at a friend's house last night, and she was showing us the latest remodel (the house has been redone at least 3 times since I've known them) This is a VERY modern house...lots of glass and chrome sort of thing. Anyways, the latest was a redo and addition to the 2nd floor master bath. Aside from a HUGE walk-in shower with two shower heads, double sink vanities around the corner from each other(not side by side), and a huge closet with all built in drawers, there is both a toilet and a urinal! What a great idea! She said she NEVER has to check the seat position, and he says it's much more convenient. I know what I'm going to add to my "dream" bathroom. ;) (They also installed automatic hurricane/security shutters, as they're right on the water)

Sounds like a dream bath to me! Especially when I'm the only girl in the house; yet I'm the one who always has to scrub the bathrooms; hence I get to see who missed in target practice:animwink:

For all of our childless members: this is when you realize you have more children than you thought you had birth certificates for--I have kids named I don't know, wasn't me, and I didn't do it. These three always forget to flush

Ooooooooooooh, that does sound nice!

We have to keep the lid down to prevent our cats from going swimming, so there are no arguments in our house. However, I can think of a few couples right off the top of my head who could GREATLY benefit from such a set-up! What a great idea!

I was the youngest and only girl with 4 brothers; my husband was the only boy with 4 older sisters. When we were newlyweds, things were on an equal footing...at last! Then The Daughter came along, and the balance of power shifted, with a female dominated house for 10 years... until the arrival of The Son. Now, Daughter is away, so I'm outnumbered again.

Yeah, a urinal at home is the lastest bathroom/home improvement craze. Actually, I want to put one in... in my bathroom... I have been planning it for awhile now :)

I just found myself a man who ALWAYS remembers to put the seat down. He's never forgotten, not once. Train your men, women...its a lot cheaper than a whole master bathroom re-do

Were the double shower heads on opposite walls, or one over the other? I've always thought it would so NEAT to have opposing shower heads.

Putting the seat and lid down should be second nature, and everyone should be doing it, if not out of courtesy, do it for sanitary reasons. When you flush a toilet, the water surges in and forces the air in the bowl, out into the room. That air contains germs and waste material. That air will then settle onto every surface, even YOU. The seat and the lid should always be placed down prior to flush, it just makes good sense.

Sorry, if i grossed anyone out.

Wow, celticdog, I'm glad I didn't read this while I was eating lunch....

Mom, that sounds great! We really like the two showerhead idea... :D You know, to get twice as clean, of course! :)

I'm proud to report that I have a husband who is actually perfect when it comes to putting the seat down...:sohappy: and truth be told, he freaks out if anyone forgets to put the entire lid down... especially since our dog likes to drink out of the toilet... :hurl:

I must admit, my husband never leaves the seat up, either. :)

They were side by side (but some distance apart...this is a HUGE shower) and on a curve, so they are almost opposite. My in-laws have theirs opposite each other.

My husband will teasingly tell me that since I'm the only girl; I should put the seat up.
