Some Epcot Updates

Kim Possible is still testing phase. and do you have some pictures of the newest attraction.

That would be a lot of photos. It is spread over 7 different countries. With about 6 or 7 different items in each country. I could post photos of each and every item, but that wouldn't be much fun finding everything during your secret mission.

But I can tell you one thing though, if anyone has noticed those mysterious concrete "crop circles"
1. in front of the Viking ship in Norway
2. Between Italy and AA
3. Between International Gateway and UK

There will be carts appearing there soon, and that will be the distribution points for the Kimcommunicators.

Since the original title of this thread was Epcot updates, some minor stuff from last night.

About 5 booths for FW up in the area from Future World to Mexico.

Construction well under way in the empty area east of Germany, presumably for the Australian walk-about.

Construction also well under way between France and Morocco. Don't know what's going in this area - last year was the centennial celebration for Oklahoma. But it might be an area for Louisiana.

I say that because with the "Cities in Wonderland" theme this year, the WDW list doesn't say New Orleans, it says Louisiana.

Finally, the ship was missing from behind America Gardens Theater. This may be old news, but I hadn't noticed.

Thanks for the info about Food and Wine. I can't wait b/c I will get to experience the festival for the first time in a few weeks!

Another thing, I thought the ship was there to represent Old Ironsides. That might be something I made up, but I could have sworn I read it somewhere.

That'll be great news if the Earth Globe is returning all ready. :D I personally hope it comes back so I can see the RoE show in its normal state next week.

Touching on the Earth Barge one more time, I'm thinking all the delays allowed them to prefabricate pretty much everything they were going to use. Either that, or the delays were the PMs for the project going back and forth on what to actually do to the barge.

Based on the description of scaffolding around the barge, I'm wondering if all they are doing it replacing all of the LEDs on the globe and not upgrading the display system.

They are upgrading the whole video system. The new one is more compact and uses less wiring. The new display is much brighter and clearer and you can actually tell what the images are. It is the same video and same resolution, though.

The outside contractors are having some ...er ... uhh.... technical difficulties , The globe should be in the show Friday night or Saturday night for sure now. They have been working a lot of overtime, trying to get it ready.

Oh, cool...thanks for the clarification. Any news if they did some upgrades on the rest of the barge lighting?

I recall the ship was severely damaged in 2004 during a hurricane. I remember hearing that it was made out of mere styrofoam.

Perhaps it has recently received more wind damage.

That's a shame...Seeing that it's been there a while and actually has a story, I hope it returns.:)
