Are we the only dorks on earth who get excited when a 20oz bottle of coke costs $2?

It's the little things that excite us dorks:cool:, of course that 50 cent savings on each bottle will be spent elsewhere on property. :D

Absolutely a revenue producing move. I have a Masters Degree in Marketing and the description is pure Price/Cost analysis. Since the test has a beginning and an end, it is measurable towards its objectives (probably if a rise in revenue occurs due to higher sales, and secondly - measuring the Quality Control of correct change and accurate registers at the end of each CM's shift).

I for one will take advantage of the cheaper soda! :p

They can give the pop away as far as I am concerned - I hate Coke products - I bring a case of Pepsi with me on every trip.
Personally, I like Coke better. Just my opinion, though!

Not to sound like an idiot or anything... but is there really that big of a difference? I just don't see how someone can "hate" one kind of pop enough that you won't even go near it, and then drink another kind of pop that tastes almost exactly the same? Am I missing something? :veryconfu

You don't sound like an idiot in the least. I find a huge difference between the two. I don't hate it, but, I most definitely prefer Coke. If I go somewhere where Pepsi is served I generally drink water. I find it way too sweet and it has something of an aftertaste that I don't care for.

I find a stronger aftertaste in Coke - personally I don't like any cola - I like mainly ginger ale - and sprite is way too sweet for me -- it is a matter of taste and where you live - in our area Pepsi sells more than coke - but in another town it might be different -- I have noticed more people buying water, which I really find funny. We buy a case of water at the local drug store and that gets us through our week. $3.99 for a case - 24 bottles - compaired to $2.00 a bottle, etc. Disney is not the only place that does this, so does every sporting event, other amusement parks, county fairs and schools -- I know from our own school, it has a decent profit margin.

The comedian Todd Barry does a routine based on overhearing someone say "I love Coke but I hate Pepsi with a passion." Some of it is NSFW, so I'll just say his CD is worth seeking out.

For the record, I tend to prefer the whole Pepsi line over the Coke line (including the citrus drinks and root beer), but I can drink either of them and not get physically ill. :)

Too bad they didn't lower the PowerAid price, that's the stuff that gets you hydrated...

but still, good news for me!
