Thanks....I thought it was something like that. DAK is the only park we don't go back to the room until they close. Then we eat and head to Fantasmic. We love doing the Meals plus for lunchtime and then we redeem the voucher during the parade.

So...apparently...this works :D

I love the meal program at AK too as it is a good deal. It doesn't keep us at the park much longer though.

With EE opening I think the park can stay open later with Dinoland, Camp Minnie-Mickey and Asia except the animal trail open. They need to figure out some kind of show to keep guest there later that is animal friendly.

I wonder if some guests bought a lot of soda yesterday because the price was going up?

From what I have read, the meals plus program is designed to help keep people in the park later....buy your lunch now, and get your ice cream bar later . Since DAK seems to have the biggest problem keeping people until park close (due to lack of attractions) this helps that problem...people will actually stay to redeem their voucher.

I always assumed that this is the same reason that the "3:00 parade" is at 4:00 at DAK.

Does anyone have any info on how successful this change was and if it will return? I like the idea of not having to find 50 cents to go with the bills or vice versa getting the 50 cent change back.

From what I have herad prices have gone back to being the same.

I heard that as well, but was wondering if it went back to WDW management as being successful and will be rolled out permanently. I was wondering if any insider has heard the analysis on it yet.

The prices returned to $2.50 on 7/4, and not a day sooner :D
Bah humbug. It was GREAT needing only $2 even for a soda in June. My pass expired in June so I haven't been back since then, but that was NICE. We must have bought five sodas the one day rather then like three because it just didn't feel like they were bending you over quite as much. I agree with the psychological impact that $0.50 has. Not to mention the sheer need to provide people beverages in the hellish Florida summer heat! *chuckles*

Hate to bring up such an old thread, but I was shocked to see the Cokes were again only $2 last week. I had not read anywhere on these boards that they changed again. I was all ready to pay the extra 50 cents but was glad to see they went down again.

Well at least they are lowering the price a little.

7 Days- 2 Cokes a Day= 14 x .50 = $7.00 Savings! Wohoooooo!!!!!!
