Oh, I wasn't talking about Bob's agenda.I don't really think it's agenda so much as Bob insisting that it open next year and being willing to do what it takes (probably $) to meet his deadline.

Good. We've talked about this and it's top secret.Oh, I wasn't talking about Bob's agenda.
I know. I don't think @WDW1974 has a hidden agenda to make Disney look bad. Any time he points out something the company has done that is wrong, I believe it has been based in fact with a smattering of opinion (his prerogative). It is extreme paranoia to suggest that any fan has a hidden agenda to take down the company that manages the entertainment resorts that they love.Oh, I wasn't talking about Bob's agenda.
Oh, I don't think he has any agenda as far as the Disney company goes, just for Bob Iger (well, Tom Staggs as well). He loves Disney (or what it used to be anyway), just hates the current top management.I know. I don't think @WDW1974 has a hidden agenda to make Disney look bad. It would be so cool if they closed the show with a fly over of Epcot Center from about 1989ish
Unless Shanghai Shendi Group wants a longer exclusive.Bob Iger stated that SDL is opening in the Spring of 2016, so there is no reason why we don't get the new film in late 2016, since it will already have debuted.
The Shanghai Disney Resort announcements included an opening timeframe that will not be met.You know that's only someone's agenda at work, right? I seriously doubt that he would have said that publicly if he wasn't pretty darn sure of it. Disney is notorious for not announcing anything until they are really sure of something happening, and even then, they sometimes hold off. I mean, they didn't announce the BLT until several floors were already built!
I hope they can camouflage that building better than the older Soarin building.Photo update as of Thursday, July 16. I have been watching this construction for over a month, but finally took a photo to post.

fly away blue is likely the only thing to be done with it
They will use Smog Grey in Shanghai. In Shanghai, that won't work.
On most days, they won't need to worry about hiding show buildings at all.

Won't happen. Disney won't mock itself.
What color would work better?I like to imagine that the person who suggested painting show buildings blue to "camouflage" them also thinks putting his hands over his eyes counts as a hiding spot. You'll be able to see it no matter what so might as well make it look really cool!
What is the chance of the new film and/or theater being open for Summer 2016?
The purpose wasn't to hide it, it was to lower the profile. Many people that I have talked too have been to Epcot and have never noticed the building there at all. Even I, a person that knew it was being built and had been there during the construction phase when it was like neon it was so obvious, was surprised when I went later and didn't even notice it. I went again and looked for it and yes... it was very visible. I have never even noticed the Swan and Dolphin in the background because I wasn't looking for them and had no reason to look up in that direction. It's one of the many "show" tricks that are used in the business.I like to imagine that the person who suggested painting show buildings blue to "camouflage" them also thinks putting his hands over his eyes counts as a hiding spot. I have never once seen the existing Soarin' building without having actually looked for it.The purpose wasn't to hide it, it was to lower the profile.
