Question of the Day
We've got a bunch of different prompts coming up, including some out-of-left-field prompts I don't think anyone is expecting. What are some never-done-before prompts you might enjoy?
There are definite projects that are way to niche that I would love, but would only work if all the players were into the niche too. Like design a Kingdom Hearts level.

It isn't really imagineering, but remaking a bad (or mixed bag) movie could be cool. Maybe time travel to 2015 and pitch a plan for the first 5 years of Disney Star Wars (love them or hate them, the recent movies don't exactly scream "we have a plan")

Video Game prompts are always fun, tht was one of my favorites from 2016, but I don't have a clear cut idea for one.

As far as more traditional theme park attraction projects go, anything involving time travel or alternate universe I love. 80s Epcot, pre-Buzz Lightyear interactive rides, stuff like that are some of my favorites to work on.

Going live NOW!

I’m watching Avatar for the first time this past week and I literally just yesterday watched The Great Divide and the Storm. So having seen the Storm, I now understand why everyone calls it the best ever. Spoilers but I actually dug the Great Divide, sure the Storm blew it out of the water, but showing Aang lie to the tribes to solve their dispute just goes to show how mature the show is. Every other kids show would have had everything wrap into a neat coincidental bow. So that plus the prior episode with the child terrorists shows even the filler episodes have something interesting to say. I’m very excited for the remaining two seasons and a half!

Ok now off to Episode 13!

I actually don't think The Great Divide is that bad, but I do think it's the most skip-able in the series. The way it gets referenced in the Ember Island Players episode is priceless. The two bad things about The Great Divide are the fact that both tribes are equally unlikable and the Sokka/Katara conflict is REALLY forced. Other than that it's a fine enough episode that shows Aang's unconventional diplomatic problem solving issues really well.

What's your favorite E-ticket?

Outside of the obvious gold standards like Mansion/Pirates as well as anything from the foreign parks I might never get a chance to experience in person, right now my personal favorite E-Ticket is actually Radiator Springs Racers. I adore the placemaking and rock work, and that alone even if there weren't a terrific ride within it elevated DCA into a legit gem of a park. The ride itself is fantastic though. I ADORE the "Sunday Drive" opening act going up to the waterfall. Legitimately one of my all time favorite moments in any Disney attraction and really calls to mind old school Imagineering. The dark ride section is impressive, fast paced, large scale, and filled with stuff to look at. The Luigi/Ramone scenes add a good variety, the set up to the race with Doc Hudson and the "starting line" moment are both iconic. Then you have the race itself, which is just straight up Disney Fun Factor personified. It's an insanely well designed track with a couple nice air time pops, and the rock work just DOES IT and completely transports you into that world. Having the added in competitive element to every ride certainly helps. Man, I can keep going. Rise of the Resistance is easily the most technologically impressive E Ticket ever, but for my money Racers has it beat as far as placemaking, re-ride-ability, and straight up Fun Factor is concerned.

Soarin over california, still the only ride who's demise made me cry. It's just a special ride even for a motion simulator. The perfect descendent of all the circlevision films that came before it. It was just beautiful.

Question of the Day
What is the best use of "new" technology in a Disney ride? Shanghai Pirates? Pooh's Hunny Hunt? Mystic Manor? All the way back to the past with Haunted Mansion or OG Pirates or Enchanted Tiki Room?
