May 2009 - My nieces' 1st trip

Me. Kelly, SweetPee to the mister (& those who know me from online where I use that as my name), and Mom to my 2 boys. We won't go into any of the other nicknames that are less than...uh...magical! I'm the planner, the one who lays it all out & manages the many details. I love every minute of the prep-work. This trip I'm aspiring to bring my 2 biggest hobbies, or passions if you will, together into an extra-awesome buncha greatness. If you aren't already familiar with the little freckle-faced red pigtailed girl still in me you will very soon. Or you'll think I'm completely out of my mind. Either way, it's me. :p More about that later...

May 2008 - Anniversary trip

Tracey. My Sweetness, highly entertaining super-incredible hubby of 16 years, my best friend in the whole wide world, partner in Disney-Freak-dom, and Dad to our boys. I could gush for an hour but you don't wanna hear all that ooey-gooey stuff. Gotta love a man who actually can pull off "I'm interested" when his wife is yammering on and on about dolly-collecting stuff. :D

July 4, 2009 - Stone Mountain Park, Atlanta (Still okay. For those who aren't familiar with the sign, see the link down there in my signature.)

Chandler. Chan-man. The big brother. Our eldest now 13 years old in the 8th grade. Aspiring photographer who put in a mighty steep order with Santa this year requesting a D-SLR camera. Yikes! Loves to laugh, kind-hearted, very much a natural care-taker. Almost a mini-me at his age. Argh! Those moody spells with the ever-flappin' gums may just be the boy's demise one of these days. Teenagers are f-u-n! LOL!

SANY0022.jpg

July 2, 2009 - Somewhere in the sky between Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia for a July 4th getaway. That's his little Chip that he's holding.

Brian. My Boo. The little brother. Baby of the family now 12 years old in the 6th grade. Aspiring Veterinarian doctor or military man. Very imaginative fellow who loves Lego's, weaponry, strategy, and playing pretend war games. He can potentially freak people out with his knowledge of guns even tho he's only held or fired one a few times in his life. This is Mr. Tough-Guy riiiiight up 'til he needs some mom-time...then he's curled up close to me being my Boo again. I *wish* he'd never outgrow that.

And now our new introductions to the adventure dynamic. Meet Tracey's parents!

February 2006 - First trip to WDW

Allan & Gwen. Dad & Mom to Tracey & me. Poppa & Mimi to the boys. The best in-laws a girl could ever ask for. All-around awesome people. Fun-loving and generous in spirit. Raised an incredible family. I'm blessed to have had the chance to be included in that. Dad's a golfer who loves to figure out how things work. Imaginative, patient, & funny. Mom's a huuuuge Spurs fan, a sponge for useless trivia, loves to shop, and spend time with family including her 9 grandkids. Smart, affectionate, & witty. She's the glue that holds the family together. Gotta love a woman who will call her son & fuss at him to help his poor wife more with the house, laundry, & kids without me uttering a word about it. Teehee!

How: This past January while we were on our last family WDW adventure Tracey's mom called and asked if we'd be interested in going back with them in 2010 and would I be okay doing the planning. Shhhhyeeaaahhh!!! WDW travel planning is what I do! It's what I love. Mom has wanted to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge from the moment she walked into that amazing lobby in February 2006 while on their 1st ever visit to the Happiest Place on Earth (we brought them along on family trip #3). This will be their 2nd WDW whirl and Mom's dream-resort. We don't mind experiencing a different resort than the 3 we've stayed at. So the planning has been in motion for nearly a year....a year that has flown by extremely fast!

And with this I'll be signing off for the night. When your eyeballs refuse to focus on the screen anymore it *may* be an indication that you need sleep.

I'll leave you with a handful of random get-to-know-us pics. Be sure to stay tuned. This ride is gonna change in a big way reeeaaal soon!

Okay, I love this. We have a small blue bird that goes on all our trips. I will have to find a pic, which is proving more difficult than I would like to admit since my computer just did a big ol' crash-a-rooney a few weeks ago and I lost all my pics. So I now have to locate our back ups and reload. ho hum.....

PS: I like the name you have chosen. :xmas:

Awwww! I wish we could meet up somehow. I want to meet as many fellow WDWMagic folks as I can. I still think it'd be hysterical to show up for our LTT ADR w/an extra 20 or so folks and try to convince the podium CM's that there was a mistake and see if they'll let everyone just squeeze on in with us. That's terrible, I know, but it'd be worth a shot!

:ROFLOL:That would be great! I'm sure the characters would just love having to come around to a table of 20 Disney fanatics. I wish we could meet up too. I just have no idea what that day is going to be like. The only plans we have so far is breakfast at LTT (we got in!). Other than our ADRs I have no set plans for once, which is nice. I love the twist to your report!

Another January traveler here (although we don't get there until after you guys are gone.)

I think your "twist" sounds fun. I know quite a few people who have taken things into the parks too.

And I don't find your collection Cabbage Patch Dolls to be strange at all. I collect Barbies. :)

Hi Kelly!!! Aren't you just so excited? Less than a week to go and you'll be there!

I've been MIA for awhile what with all our travels and just got around to reading your pre-trippie. Great stuff! I especially love the World of Coke pictures. Brett and I have some similar ones from when we were there in October. We cringed throughout much of the 3D movie... seeing such things makes one realize how fantastic Disney really is! I've never been to the Stone Mountain show for the 4th and we're not even two hours from there. How was it?!

I'm really glad you've decided to try Jiko, as I remember you being on the fence about it. I promise, it won't disappoint. I can personally recommend both the filet with mac and cheese and the Chermoula chicken. :slurp:

I'm excited to read the trip report from Ellie's perspective. I collect Disney plush and different characters accompanies us on each trip; however, we have yet to take them throughout the parks. In addition to that I have a plush bird, known more affectionately as Panchito Beakman that joins us on all our cruise adventures!

Good luck getting through the rest of this week! I'll be anxiously awaiting the report!

Hollybelle! Woman, I've actually been kinda worried about you! Didn't you have a pre-Christmas trip? I was lookin' forward to another awesome-Hollybelle-report! LOL! I figured with travels, holidays, etc. you've been busy but then there's that little worry-wart in my brain that interjects with, "Gee...I hope nothing's wroooong...." LOL!

The 4th at Stone Mountain was insanely crowded. It was crazy. The craziness of it was fun, tho. We hit the lawn early in the morning and staked out the spot for the whole family. When they all arrived a few hours later we laughed and told 'em they'd never make good Disney-Commandos. LOL! It was a ton of fun which I think really depends on the company and keeping everything light-hearted. If we do it again I'll let you know ahead of time if you want to come join in the fun.

Yes & no on being excited about leaving in just 3 more days. Holy cow do I have a loooot of housework and laundry to do. Ugh. And I need to make chex-mix today so I can ship out our boxes to the resort tomorrow. Tonight is birthday dinner w/the MIL...still gotta go get birthday cards. It's just all the little things that makes me think I'll be dead tired when I finally get there. LOL! That's what I look forward to: being done with all the work.

I finished sewing my dolly's clothes yesterday. My fingers are soooo sore. I've put in about 35 hours sewing since Thursday most of which was done by hand. Chandler has been tasked with using his new super-camera that Santa brought to do a little photo-shoot of her modeling her new duds after school. He's so excited! LOL!

Sooooo, off to get started with my Cinderella-duties for the day. LOL! Stay tuned! More to come!

Don't worry, the report is in the works! I'll probably start posting sometime tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll have it finished by the time you return from your trip. Laughable, I know!

And look at it this way, having so much to get done before you leave will only make the time go by faster. And then you'll really be able to indulge in that relaxing trip you've worked so hard for!

Oh yeah... and I meant to tell you we signed up for the Princess Half a little over a week ago! Woohooo. I guess that means it's time to start training. :lookaroun

Holy heck. Not a good start. Sat in the plane at the gate in Houston for almost an hour while they loaded baggage. Got to MCO & 6 of our 9 bags didn't make it onto the plane. We'll get them...tomorrow afternoon. Niiiiice. On ME and it's so packed we're all split up. Driver announces our resort is like the 4th stop. Wonderful. Movie starts and, yet again, our screen isn't working. 2 for 2 on that now. Let's just hope the hiccups end here. G'nite and wish us luck.
