So, who wants to do this on Rock n' Rollercoaster?

Um, not me....

Some people have WAY too much time on their hands....

I mean really, the pieces would fly everywhere, you wouldn't be able to enjoy the ride, it would be a mess....

Are the pieces glued on or something? Because there's no way you'd be able to hold all of those pieces while on a roller coaster or something.

BTW who's going to do it on ToT?

The staged "Chess Pose" is old news, and for beginners. I have a picture of me performing open heart surgery on my buddy while riding Splash Mountain.

I would do it if I had a chess board. We are always thinking of different pictures for tower of terror. This is a great idea.

Wouldn't doing this be kind of dangerous? I mean what if the board flew out of your hands and hit someone?

I don't think I'd try it. I hardly keep my eyes open on the ride and hold on for dear life! Don't get me wrong, I actually really like this ride!!

My husband has been on and forgot to take his hat off. On the inital take off, it, of course, fell off, and he thought it was gone. When the ride ended, my husband was stopped by a young boy who had his hat. He caught the hat when it flew off. Now, everytime he rides it, we make sure he has secured anything that can fly off during the ride.

Lee, that's awesome.

By the way, as a card-carrying ACE member, I suppose I should note that I do not condone breaking any park rules such as "contraband" on rides, etc that might come loose and strike someone behind you. And I say this, having ridden Great American Scream Machine and caught someone's gum on my forearm. :hurl:

:hurl: :hurl: but remember... smaller less thrilling rides would great.. go from TTA to IASW to Peter Pan... I can see a lot of attractions in MK getting done, going up to Space, and Splash... Each time move a piece closer to check mate... then go to Epcot and do a new game.. lol

Also, When your told not to, dont!!! wait till a better cm comes... Many coasters are dangerous, many at Busch Gardens Tampa and willamsburg state this now... Sneak camera or anything like it... expelled from park!

Lee, I would so try that. (But it's Gerstlauer, so I might break something. :lookaroun)

My friends and I have taken a map on a few rides for the photo op, though we'd all agreed we'd do it on tamer rides. No one wants a park map to come loose on Top Thrill Dragster.

I still think Theme Park Review gets the award for Best On-Ride Photo:

Now how were they lucky to not have that photo dumped so quick... must have had lucky people who blocked but didn't dump it... I like the park map, imagine a full car of people pointing different directions with a park map... Then another full of people doing HSM!!! :lookaroun

I've seen lots of pictures (and DH and I have done this too for rides) posing for the cameras, reading a book, filing my nails, etc. Just to make the picture more interesting.

It was part of a wedding reception, I believe (it was the same trip at least), so the CM's let 'em have a car to themselves. Nothing's really obscene in there, anyway (surprising, considering the subjects of the picture  ).

FYI, Cedar Fair has a strict policy regarding loose articles, or at the very least, cameras. Can't even bring it onto the Ferris wheel or paddleboat with you.

This happened to my family years ago on Space Mountain. My older brother was sitting in the front (of course I was younger I didn't get the front), I was sitting behind him, them my mom behind me. My brother forgot to take off his hat, and when we took the first drop it flew off and landed right on my mom's lap. since I was sitting in the middle it felt like slow motion flying over my head. Pretty Crazy.

Back on Topic, I think that is an awesome idea. So random.

Not the same thing, but a friend and I used to get into political/social/philosophical debates while on line for rollercoasters, and continue to have the debate throughout the whole ride, doing our best not to let our voices sound stressed or scared.

C'mon, which one of you guys will be the first to do this, either on RnRC or Splash Mountain?
Tower of Terror?

I don't really find anything fun, interesting or cool about putting other guests in danger. There could be kids behind you who could get hit in the face by the chess board or pieces.

It's just stupid.

Yeah, ok. Tell me to lighten up after your children get hurt by idiots.
