Salad for me- sandwiches for everyone else. I am going to go through the freezer and see what I have frozen of leftovers for the next week. The days are getting away from me and I have way too much still left to do before we leave.

It was the girls' first day of school at a new place, so it's all their favorites (I mean that I want to eat as well :lookaroun) Ribs, baked potatoes with all the "stuff" for on top, salad, and chocolate chip cheesecake.

You seem to have the turkey cutlets a lot, how do you fix them, Dana?

I do don't I.....at least once a week..

I guess because they are quick and pretty good..:)

I do different things ..I will marinade them in any kind of marinade and then bake them..

Bread them in bread crumbs/panko and parmesean cheese and any kind of spice you choose....after dipping them in mustard or a mrinade or whatever..

I have used lemon pepper and cajun spices..just add to the bread crumb and parm cheese mixture..

I make Turkey parmesean...

Turkey fajitas and quesadillas...

Sometimes I grill them...

You can also fry them but I prefer to bake them...

They are really good...and Drew asks for them at least once a week so I make them...

I told him I was going to start making different kinds of meals then the same old stuff and he said as long as we still have the turkey cutlets..lol

Basically you can use them in any recipe that you would pork chops or chicken ..:)

Bah, cheesecake cracked on top. What's the trick to that again? Leaving it to cool in the oven or something? I didn't have time  It'll still get eaten

Put some strawberries on top:lol:. BTW, did you bake it inside a pan of water. That helps a lot with cutting down on cracks.

Yes, I did the water, but I had to get it right out and put the ribs in. It's only one crack, it's really not a big deal. I REALLY don't think anybody's going to turn their nose up at it because of the crack

I made a homemade cheese cake for the first time a few christmases ago (I have a huge christmas eve open house every year). Anyways, after baking the cake and letting it cool down in the oven, I took the cheesecake out to begin my next dessert and placed it on the counter top. I go into the pantry to get a few items I need and when I return the darn cat is on the counter top licking the cheesecake.
This was a large New York Style Cheesecake and I was not about to remake it. I dug out the little bit that the cat ate and sliced some strawberries and placed them in there.
It tasted just as good and no one knew the difference. :lookaroun

BTW, I am making marinated chicken on the grill for dinner tonight. Not sure about what else.

If they do I will eat it. I am sure it is delicious.:slurp: You said ribs in the oven. Hmm... What is your method. I tried something last time that worked out good. I put some hickory chips in a pan of water underneath them. It gave some nice flavor. I do not have a smoker so I am unable to do ribs the proper way. However, I make some pretty good oven ribs.

Everything is better with a bit of cat spit! We get both the dog and cat spit at our house.

Thanks Vern :) I hope so too. DH is off to the Doctor with him now, I stayed with DD since they don't want to see her yet because her symptoms just started?? At least they could squeeze him in.
