So... What is for Dinner?..:)

I made a homemade cheese cake for the first time a few christmases ago (I have a huge christmas eve open house every year). Anyways, after baking the cake and letting it cool down in the oven, I took the cheesecake out to begin my next dessert and placed it on the counter top. I go into the pantry to get a few items I need and when I return the darn cat is on the counter top licking the cheesecake.
This was a large New York Style Cheesecake and I was not about to remake it. I dug out the little bit that the cat ate and sliced some strawberries and placed them in there.
It tasted just as good and no one knew the difference. :lookaroun

BTW, I am making marinated chicken on the grill for dinner tonight. Not sure about what else.
:ROFLOL:
If they do I will eat it. I am sure it is delicious.:slurp: You said ribs in the oven. Hmm... What is your method. I tried something last time that worked out good. I put some hickory chips in a pan of water underneath them. It gave some nice flavor. I do not have a smoker so I am unable to do ribs the proper way. However, I make some pretty good oven ribs.
I did Alton Brown's recipe, dry rub, and a braising liquid, and then you cook them very low and very long in the oven. Drain the liquid and boil it down to a glaze to put back on them and broil them a bit. The flavor was very good, but my ribs I was not happy with. They were a lot tougher than any babybacks I'd ever had before. It's aggrivating because they aren't really cheap, and to have them end up less than awesome is frustrating
^^ lol
Chicken Soup here since DS is sick!
*Note to Self* Never let your child go spend the night with someone whose parents do not think it is a good idea to inform you that their kid is sick and you are leaving for WDW in a week!:fork: :hammer:

No!! :brick: I had the opposite happen once, one of mine was invited somewhere, and she got the sniffles. I called to let them know, and they said they didn't care, it would surely come around to her kid soon enough anyhow from school  (Of course, nobody had any vacations planned either)

Do you go to the farmer's market every day or what? :lookaroun

I honestly have no idea. I kinda need to clear leftovers out of the fridge :o

Sorta.....I go to the produce market once a week. We stopped eating processed food about two years ago. Made me REALY change the way I shop and cook. I make up a menu, shop, and that's eat. If you don't want what's for dinner......you are outa luck!

Not always a good thing:lol:
