So what if they wanted to build an e ticket in Storybook circus?

If I recall correctly, the original E-Tic that Eric J. proposed for Fantasyland's expansion was called "Cartoon Corners".

Actually, the Adventureland plot would provide better guest dispersion, getting people down to the Southeast corner.

Cartoon Corners, that's it... I remember seeing that written somewhere.. Thanks for the correction!!!

Not sure this is the best place for this, but long ago, before FLE was even announced, a friend had taken a tour of Glendale and seen several interesing models.

One that was really intriguing was a raft ride for Toontown where a water tower had fallen over and flooded the town. You would raft though the charater's houses and see them staying afloat in fun creative ways. Obivously FLE came instead.

Was wondering if anyone had ever heard about this or if any concepts had ever leaked about it. I know sometime when WDI retires an idea they will show renderings in books and presentations.

To this day the idea still seems fun to me. Would love to learn more if anyone has ever heard of such a thing.

the john carter thing was more of a joke about a movie that has no right to having a attraction kinda like how avatar makes no sense to me

the story is something that would be interesting, if there weren't movies that defined the super hero and alien plotline before John Carter. it just came out at the wrong time. like a few decades wrong time.

and Avatar is a good movie, and bringing the world of Pandora to life is good theme park scenery building for Disney. the problem is in designing attractions for it. but besides that, i'm a supporter of the movement. a little 'Dances With Wolves' meets the 'Smurfs', but still, it was a good movie with beautiful effects. you can see how much work Cameron put into it.

Not surprising.
I don't know the details of that particular ride, but raft rides have been designed for multiple lands over the years.

Sounds like Popeye and Bluto's.

A dark ride based on Mickey's Circus would fit perfectly now...

...just like a roller coaster based on the door sequence in Monsters, Inc. should have been built long before Toy Story Midway Mania. Who's making the decisions anyway? ;)

To answer the OP's question -- well, an E-Ticket in Storybook Circus would be very interesting, but unneeded now. Replace the Speedway and start re-vamping Tomorrowland or put it in Adventureland. Storybook Circus being a mini-land within New Fantasyland AND being brand new, it doesn't need an E-Ticket. So far, it's serving its purpose of bringing crowds to Dumbo in the corner of the Park and the new train station! Plus, little kids adore Casey Jr. and will flock to Pete's Silly Sideshow.

Considering that the Race Way is pretty popular and cheap to maintain I can't imagine they're in any hurry to replace it. I hoping that once they finish expanding Fantasyland they'll get back to remodeling Tomorrowland. If they added some Buck Rogers neon scenery to drive through on the Race Way and maybe some lights on the cars I'd be happy with that

I definetly think Adventureland is the most underutilized land. I would love to see an E ticket placed there. It needs development and seems to be going through an identity crisis. I just don't know if there is room for one...

I would guess the Speedway will be leaving soon (especially if DL's is..) On the other hand though, that would mean TDO was making plans and wanting to put lots of money and new projects into the park... Yeah, I think ours will be around a long time..

I think Speedway will be on it's way out, once they decide to put a Cars Based attraction like Radiator Springs Racers into HS. I think that might happen sooner than people think. This would give MK space for an additional E in that spot and add a much needed "E" to HS. I think Adventureland could use some help as well, but I think that may have to wait.

There's plenty of room for an E Ticket in Storybook Circusland, without touching the Speedway or getting close to Tomorrowland or existing Fantasyland.

All you need is an entry/exit portal built and an enclosed queue structure going out to a massive show building east of the park beyond the railroad tracks. Disneyland has done this in several locations, most recently in Adventureland with the Indiana Jones Adventure. They have a little cul-de-sac in a corner of Adventureland for the entrance/exit, and then a long and highly immersive enclosed queue structure that leads out to the ride building itself.

Here's how it works at Disneyland; all visitors see is the themed temple entrance in a corner of Adventureland, and the queue then leads them out beyond the railroad tracks to a big warehouse where the rest of the queue, pre-show and actual ride takes place. That's Disneyland's massive Pirates of the Caribbean two-building complex on the right of this photo (with boat trough passing out front near the building entry), and Jungle Cruise is on the left of the photo in the green area. The Disneyland Railroad tracks pass over the Indy queue hallway between the brown tunnel walls.

If they can wedge a mega-E Ticket like Indiana Jones Adventure in between three other operating older attractions (Railroad, Jungle Cruise, Pirates) at Disneyland AND re-route the Disneyland Monorail tracks around the new building, then surely they could do AMAZING things with all that vacant land sitting just to the north and east of Dumbo Circusland!

This is how you enter Space Mountain too, and this could work in Storybook Circus as well. I was thinking if they decide to permanently dock the paddle boat in Frontierland, there would be any need for the canal on the east side of the park, which would potentially open up Adventureland outside the train tracks for an Indiana Jones kind of thing your describing
