Sneaky Magic Ninja Friends...

Wow, quiet day.

Good evening to any and all. I spent the day in the zoo with a friend from Urinetown. It was so much fun. Now I'm sun tired. But in a GREAT way. I'm going to go watch a movie now, and then I have to hole myself in my room and write a creative nonfiction piece that's due on Monday. Which I haven't started. Not a fun situation to be in.

Ehhhh

So in this month's Southern Living (yes, I am a wannabe Southerner) they did an article abut 20 ultimate trips for kids, Disney World of course being # 1. Their advice on doing it right? "make sure to wait until your children are at least 6 years old". Who writes this stuff?????? What an absolutely stupid piece of advice, and one which I am sure Disney would not thank them for.

That video I posted last night would be proof that isn't true :animwink:.....true, our kids were older when we went the first time, but that was due more to the cost than anything.

BTW, hi sweetie! Like your fence pic on FB.

Pretty slow and boring. Right now I'm watching baseball and Cars.

How about you?

Oh, tired as usual. Still having annoying bouts of coughing :brick:...however, did a little bit of weeding outside, and did some laundry. Our landscape person came and walked around our backyard with us and will work on an estimate. I hope that we can get this scheduled and finished by the end of June. :)

That video was soooooo awesome!

The best advice on this is take your kids when you (there actual parent) feel comfortable and ADJUST YOUR EXPECTATIONS ACCORDINGLY.

Jenn, if I waited until I afforded to go to Disney my credit card company might go under. And we can't have that. :lookaroun

Oh, that fence. I could have killed him (and he has some really long winded excuse for why he did it that way, but I just ignore that) at the time but now I just think it's funny. He swears he's gonna fix it someday.

Ah, 'someday'....the favorite word of husbands everywhere....right up there with..'I dunno'...and 'whatever you think'.

And I hear you about the CC companies, although I am really trying to be better about things like that.
Mike took the kids over to a street carnival for an hour or so, and learned a very valuable lesson...Joel is still prone to escapism :dazzle: and we decided in the interest of our nerves, a stroller still might be necessary for him this fall at WDW. Fortunately we found a link to this, that might be just what we need:

I think a stroller is a great idea, escapism aside, it might also give him a sense of security. Em insisted we bring hers last trip (may 08....sooo long ago ). We used our McClaren, rated for up to 65 pounds. So she could actually still use it.

That stroller looks perfect for your guy.

What's nice is they deliver it to the bellman at your hotel the day you check in, and when you leave you just leave it with the bellman again.

Joel needed sensory breaks in his stroller last time...I think it will still be a good idea for him, and now that we have an alternative to those bulky hard plastic Disney strollers, I think really it's a no-brainer.
