"Sneaking" into Magic Kingdom early?

Okay, so I don't really mean "sneaking" in. But what I'm talking about is scheduling a breakfast at MK at 8 AM as a means of getting in there early and getting a head start on everyone else who gets there at 9 AM. I have seen posts here saying that you can schedule a breakfast at Crystal Palace as early as 8 AM. So what if I do that, and we are done eating around 8:30 or so? Can we get a head start on all the rides since we are already in the park? Or do the rides not open until 9 AM, requiring us to just walk around and enjoy the scenery before everything opens? Even if that's the case, we'd still have a head start, as we would already be in the park ahead of everyone else.

To the best of my knowledge they do let you in the park early if you have ADR at one of the resturants. Just be sure to have your reservation number with you (they usually ask for it). I booked an early reservations for the Crystal Palace for our upcoming trip and that is what I was told. The attractions do not open until the park opens but I think you can walk around anyway. So, yes you will have a head start.

And you can get some GREAT pics of Main Street with no people in the way!
But I do not think you can get beyond the hub area until the park officially opens.

 8:00 breakfast and done by 8:30. No offense but that is real wishful thinking. Things reall don't move that fast.

I have gotten in early before and while you can't ride the rides it is really cool to see the place mostly empty.

I agree. Crystal Palace is buffet--not counter service. You can't just grab and go.

Getting in and out in an hour is wishful thinking, in my opinion.

You might not get down early to be in the park without lots of people there, but if you arrive a little early for your seating you can still get in and then take some really nice pictures without anyone there. That's what we always do one morning. It makes for some really nice pictures.

You know I forgot about that. I want to take more pics of Main Street empty. My wife and I have a shot with no one on Main Street and People are amazed. This was after the Park closed and we had dinner at Tony's

ALL OF THESE STATEMENTS ARE TRUE: (With some notes added)

they do let you in the park early if you have ADR at one of the resturants. Just be sure to have your reservation number with you (they usually ask for it). We had a 9AM rez at Cinderella's Royal Table and they let us in when we got there around 8:30. they did not ask us for our rez number, but have it with you anyway.

The attractions do not open until the park opens but you can walk around anyway. Attractions are closed. You can walk to some degree. See below.

They rope off certain areas. You can't get beyond the hub area until the park officially opens. We were early enough so that they had not roped off all areas yet. We could go right up through the castle and into Fantasyland. But as we walked back around the hub, killing time, they had roped things off and then weren't going to let us back to the castle until I explained we had a rez at the Royal Table. Even then, they seemed reluctant. My guess is that by the time you're done eating, the park will be open or close to it. You'll be fine.

And you can get some GREAT pics of Main Street with no people in the way!
Absolutely!!

They will let you in early for the b'fast.
We did the same thing last summer at the AK.
We had an 8:00am b'fast scheduled, but the park did not open until 9:00am.
I don't think the rides will open at the MK until the scheduled time.
Since you are attending a character b'fast, it will probably take you more than 30 minutes to eat & meet all of the characters.

We usually hit Crystal Palace once during our trip, and make the 8:05 breakfast ressie. Our kids are grown and we just go the two of us, and believe me, we are not going for photos with Pooh, but for the ambiance of strolling down Main Street, going up to the hub, and getting a few pictures in front of the castle, either before your ressie or after. And the breakfast is decent. You can't get into the Lands, though, they are roped off until the rope drops at 9 a.m.

We always get 8:05 ressies at CRT. We are out by 8:50 and at the rope to Fantasyland ready to go. We take our pictures of Main Street and the castle as we walk in. They usually open the gate for character breakfasts right at 8:00 or if it is EMH, they let you in before the guests lines open. You don't get to got to the actual lands until the offical opening time, but it still gets you in further than most people when the ropes do drop.

You and everyone else before 9 will be their already.
You would not be alone. You are free to roam until you get to a roped area.
You cannot enter the 'lands"

They generally rope off under the castle, on the fantasyland side, just allowing access to the restraunt, and another rope on the connection bridge from CP to Adventureland, all lands are also roped off from the hub. You will normally be out around the time the park opens, even with a 8:00 seating. BTW, use the turnstyles on the far right side of the entrance plaza to get in early at MK.

Don't bank on being done by 8:30 or so. Just because you have an 8:00 ressie doesn't mean you will be seated at 8:00. We went last December during one of the slower weeks and had an 8:05 ressie at Crystal Palace. We didn't actually get seated until around 8:15 or 8:20. We had to wait outside until our server came to get us. Each server was bringing in one family at a time, had them seated in their area and then would go get the next. Kind of slow moving. Have fun!
