If they can do it subtly enough, then I'd be for it.

P.S. As someone I know once said: "Disney characters in a Disney ride? What the hell is this?!"

The thing I've always wanted to know: out of the many, many people who seem to only complain about the new additions to the DL version and say they better not even consider adding them to the WDW version, have they actually gone on the updated DL version and seen the additions?

It's not like they just threw Mickey Mouse into every scene. IMO, they did a fantastic job of subtly adding in the new characters. They only added characters in the countries they made sense to be in, and they kept with the original clothing styles and colors of the original attraction. In fact, had you not been told that there were being added, you might have just written them off something that looked familiar.

In order to bring excitement back to a ride that everyone loves to poke fun at, is it so bad to now have kids (and adults) sit there and try to find the new additions? What was interesting, after we got off the ride, there were a lot of people commenting on how they seemed to have missed some of the new additions and wanted to go back a second time to find them. That tells me that Disney did a good job of blending them in to the point that they weren't in your face.

Loved it when I was a kid, hated it when I was a teenager, now love it again as an adult. It's a wonderful ride with a great message. I even listen to the song on my mp3 player sometimes.

For me, it was a bit more. Not only did I love the music ever since I was a child, but I went to Florida to work the ride. Tell me I've got it bad. :ROFLOL:

It is if you're the one who has to sit in front of them and having to listen to the kids point out every Disney character while you try to enjoy the ride the way it was originally intended.:brick:

Edit: By the way, does anyone know how many posts you need to make before your profile stops saying "New Here", cause I've been here since 2005 and even though I don't post that much, I am far from new.
