I always whack the possum! (Never actually HIT the thing, just a family tradition.)
About 1 minute into the ride you pass a tree - notice the possum hanging from the tree on the left side.anyone got a pic of the possum? i have no idea what anyones talking about!
Eh, I may seem like a fun nazi, but before I do things like this, I always think to myself, "what would things be like if everyone did this?" Chances are that you're single whap doesn't make much of a difference, but I can only imagine that behavior like this long term necessitates more frequent refurbishments or paintings (etc) of the possum.
Those possums use to rotate automatically as the trains went by, but because people kept hitting them and breaking this feature maint decided to stop repairing it. It my be fun to you but you should always thing of the long term consequences of your actions.

No only the small ones move and the large and farthest to the left is the hittable one. It is made out of a soft Nerf like material.
So does this mean it is ok to ignore the spiel in the load station? It clearly states Remain seated and keep your hands and arms inside the train at all times, Now then hang on to them hats and glasses cuz this here's..... well you all know the rest.
Im all for raising you hands up, but to stand up and try to hit the props/AA in the ride is a completly different story.
I just dont think it the best example to be setting for the kids who might just be starting to get there taste or feel for coasters.
Sorry but this is just my two cents on the issue
i'm afraid that if i smack it, i'll go blind.
at least that's what i've always been told...
jeff.
Wow.. I've been on that ride more times than I can count and it has never even occured to me to do this... it's amazing so many people do!!
